[High Quality] The Netherlands - 1850

Description
Hiya! Here's my Christmas present to you lot! A very, highly detailed and utmost accurate version of the Netherlands, around 1850. This map has been in the works for around a week, with a total of about 40 hours, of which 25+ hours spent editing and fine-tuning the heightmap image. All of this map has been created with utmost accuracy to the real life chart of the area.

Experimental Map Sizes need to be enabled in your game config!

FEATURES:

* Megalomaniac size (Largest possible as of creation date).
* 100% of the Netherlands included in top-quality detail.
* A part of western Germany.
* A large part of northern Belgium (Flanders).
* Forests in their real life locations, plus some more, to make the map feel more lively.
* Authentic looking rivers. (NOTE: This makes some of the inland rivers UNSUITABLE for ship transport! Use the northern and western areas instead.)
* No industries. (Use an industry build mod, or enable sandbox mode, if you'd like to play with industries.)
* No road connections between cities.
* Recommended start: 1850 - 1900.

I'm pretty sure you can load it in sandbox mode, place industries, save the scenario, then load it into normal mode. I haven't touched TPF2 in ages...

Hey I'm fairly new, and I really want to play this map. It looks great!

I see you need to use an industry build mod to get industries on here. However, for the life of me, I can't figure out which mod that would be and how to utilize it. Could you give me some help?
Or is there even a way to generate industries on the map?

You can do that with a mod. That's how I do it. Manually place industries around.

Well, from the look of it, based on the fact that it starts at 1850, and it has a 5 mil credit rather than unlimited, that's why i think it is that one version.

Granted he might have modified it a bit, also because i see full industries all over the map from the start.

Oh that's cool! It is in fact my 2000s version, as linked in the description, instead of this (1850s) version... I asked him why in the comments section. Rather curious if the 1850s version accrued some issues over the years...

Thanks for linking me that by the way!

If not mistaken, Seniac, from https://www.youtube.com/@SeniacTwo is doing a series on this map now.

He's on his second episode as of this writing, and there is no word from him yet if it is this exact map, but judging from what i have seen so far, i would say that it is this one.

I tried it and i have now 4 goods per city. I am buying industries i need and i created few more cities. Only thing : i was not able to start in 1900, but not a priority. I really enjoy the map. Well done !

No clue. I've made this years ago. Probably stay this way. People were already complaining about low FPS on a largely-populated save. Might also be that at the time when I made this there was no option to choose cargo types to be supplied for cities; if I recall correctly it was always randomized.

Do cities will be fulfilled with only 2 finished goods or will it go up to 6 while time passing by ?

:D All good, let me know how it turns out for you.
