Extended Particle Effects

Description
Power based, more lifelike particles for Transport Fever 2

Version 1.8

This mod modifies fine-tunes the game particle effects to be more immersive.

For all locomotives emissions are roughly based on their power rating. The more power, the more exhaust.

For steam locomotives:

- main stack fume is now more animated and whiter.
- cylinder leakage has been greatly reduced.

For diesel locomotives:

- Early locomotives have fumes thicker and blacker
- Later locomotives have fumes more blue-tinted, which reflects better fuels and efficiency
- Amount of fumes depends on the design year of the locomotive.

For trucks and ships
- roughly follow the same patterns as diesel or steam trains.

For industries:
- In new games Oil Refinery will now emit fire from its towers, instead of black smoke

Notes:

- This mod will modify all vehicles, both in-built in the game and modded.
- If you enable it in an existing game then fullest effect will be visible in newly built vehicles or new games.
- To enable new effects on existing trains, go to 'Vehicle manager', select all trains, go to 'Edit Selected Vehicle (s)' button and when the menu is opened, just press 'Modify for' button. It will cost you nothing, but will reset the particle emitter.
- To enable new effect on industries, you need to load the game with 'Sandbox Mode' enabled and then select an industry and press 'Configure' on it. This will reset the industry. This also works automatically on new games.
- To enable new effect on ships or trucks, you need to either send it to a depot and reassign the line there, or replace it.
- If you disable this mod in an existing game, then you will see some visual glitches. To reset them use the method above - that is add / remove a wagon or send to depot.

После каждого входа в игру нужно изменять транспорт и отрасли? У меня почему то эффект постоянно сбрасывается.

...Ok nvm, I quick-toggled "Auto Upgrade" off / on in the Configure menu and that forced it to update from smoke to fire.

Hi great mod! The oil industry instructions above don't work for me tho. I click Configure, then close the Configure window, and the oil refinery still has black smoke, no flame.

I loved this mod but it seemed to make modded diesel engines smoke very wonky so I had to remove it unforunately

Thanks for the tip on how to turn it off. That said, it's fine as it is and decided to keep it on. The industry effect is cool. Thank you.

I am ~50% sure I have made the 'removal-critical' for this mod :) Besides use line manager to reset particles. Just select all trains, select 'modify' and do no modifications, just apply. This will reset everything for trains.

It works fine ... the problem is it's disastrous to turn it off. Turned it off and my trains are enveloped in a massive cloud of fog/steam/smoke. How about warning us?
