T.N.F. Transport Shuttle 'Talaria' Mk.I

Description
The Talaria is a lightly armored shuttle with seats for two passengers and a medium container for cargo transport. It meets the need to move personnel and cargo between stations, vessels and ground bases in situations that do not require the combat capabilities of Ghost dropships. One of its most important features is its relatively small size, and it fits inside most hangars.

Unlike the Adeona transport shuttle it has a hydrogen propulsion system, and has therefore enough thrust to fly in all environments, and launch from a planet’s surface to space. Flying on planets is fuel intensive however, and the Talaria has an on-board O2/H2 generator for refueling during missions. If a Talaria crew find themselves stranded, there are enough components on board to construct a rudimentary base for survival.

Atmospheric entry and launch:
● To conserve fuel, Talaria uses parachutes when landing on a planet (with atmosphere), and gradual thrust override when launching back into space.
● Read the datapad SOPs named «TALARIA SOP 2-01» and «TALARIA SOP 2-02» found in the shuttle cockpit for more detailed descriptions.

Fuel-efficient flying:
● Fly towards your destination until reaching desired speed.
● Turn off backwards thrust by pressing [1] on toolbar 2.
● Release throttle to conserve fuel. Increase and decrease forward thrust override as necessary.

General characteristics:
● Crew: 1 pilot + 2 passengers
● Length: 8,75 m
● Width: 5,5 m
● Height: 3 m
● Mass (standard equipped): 27 629 kg
● Block count: 389 blocks
● PCU count: 2 715 PCU

Armament:
● 2x 25mm Gatling Guns

Features:
● Can fit inside most, small-sized hangars.
● Has enough emergency components on board to construct a solar panel and a survival kit.
● There is an opening at the top to easily access the shuttle’s medium cargo container.
● Cockpit and passenger seats have weapons, equipment, rations and medkits.
● Pressing the Startups/Shutdown-button will turn off thrusters, turn on a small nuclear reactor, and change the batteries’ status to recharge. It will also set the hydrogen tank to stockpile.
● On-board O2/H2 generator.
● Seats for two passengers.
● No mods or DLCs.
● Survival ready.

Known issues:
● None at the moment.

I was looking for a small shuttle to park on the deck of an older ship i've been refitting and took a gander at your ship collection. This is perfect! Good design! Thanks for posting it.

Hey, I missed this comment somehow. I started and restarted on several designs until I was once again drawn towards building large-grid ships. I am currently working on creating an opposing force to the Fleet, and was hoping to eventually make some ground bases for it.

@Malmhrid how is the progress on the ground base? it's been a while and i was just wondering how it is coming along?

I was wandering if you could make TNF a custom faction, now with the new economy and AI update ! great stuff as always :)

i like your set up for the ship, you got your classes and stuff down. when i watch space engineers videos they just build what ever and theres no order. like to see a faction keep to there stuff

Hmm, I've always looked upon the Fleet as a spacefaring and station-/ship based faction, landing on planets only to conduct operations before returning to space. Any ground base should therefore have a temporary feel to it, like an outpost or a battalion forward headquarters. I will make it my current project to make one, and publish it in a new "ground forces" collection.

i noticed you have just about everything you could ever want for a fleet but may i ask if you could make a ground station/base? i noticed in almost all of your space to ground ships/transports it says that it can land on planets and i was curious if you have any in your arsenal... if not i understand but i only use workshop items in my worlds because i am not creative at all and i like your ships/stations the most out of any fleet i have tried
