I had to cheese it with either ninjaripper or a special build of Umodel.

Okay, I gotta ask, how did you get the models from CT, Double Agent and Versus ? Because it seems like umodel only works up to Pandora Tomorrow with animated meshes atm

I want to rip those models but it's a real pain cause with ninajripper it doesn't rip them in a T-Pose, it rips them in their current pose. I'll try

@CappaGav I have looked it up and have found out that Hell Diver 2 runs on the Stingray engine.
Which to my knowledge doesn't have a ripping tool out there for modeling support yet. It is to my knowledge a pretty open game engine, so designing a ripping tool shouldn't be difficult to make. Its just that Dopey and I aren't the type of guy to make a ripping tool.
If it comes to be, which I'm sure with such a big game coming out, then I could try to design a playermodel with custom animations from the game. If there's no animation support due to the dynamics of it, then I can try my best with valvebiped animations. May not be great looking.
