Kennywood Classics and Current

Description
One of the rides featured in this park is the Steel Phantom. It was constructed in Kennywood in 1991 and opened as the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world. The thing about this coaster that made it so speical, is that the second drop is the biggest drop on the ride. Due to the unique terrain of the park, the real thing went over and under the Thunderbolt's tracks, a wooden coaster at the park. Sadly, this coaster had it's final run on September 4th, 2000 before it was renovated to the Phantom's Revenge, which stands in the Steel Phantom's place to this day. The first half of the ride is the same as the Steel Phantom, however they changed the second half of it due to the inversions being too rough on riders.

Another Roller Coaster that is in this park is the previously mentioned Thunderbolt. Opened in 1968, this roller coaster is constantly rated top 25 wooden roller coasters in the world. One unique feature on this ride is that there 3 major banked turns that you slam the person that is to your left while you go around them due to there being no barrier in the middle to stop you. This makes it very fun for friends to smash the other!

One other coaster is called the Laser loop. This ride was opened in 1980 and was removed from Kennywood in 1990. It was removed in order to make room for the Steel Phantom. They kept the station from the loop, and housed this new beast of a roller coaster in it's place. It was later relocated and is still operating under the new name Cascabel 2.0, located in Feria de Chapultepec in Mexico.

The final roller coaster in this bundle is the Sky Rocket. It opened in 2010 and is still currently operating. The reason that I built this roller coaster in this park is because it is the first new roller coaster that I had been excited for when I was a kid. I remember riding it the first day that it had opened, and I was just so excited. It was announced right around the same time that I was getting into roller coasters, so this coaster kinda holds a good place in my heart. It replaced the old "Turnpike" ride located right near the entrance. It is not the highest rated ride in the world, but it is still a fun one nevertheless.

I hope that you enjoy this park. I have spent many countless hours working on this, and I hope that you can find some appreciation for it. If there is anything that I could improve about it, please let me know.
