Eclipse Tech

Description
My first complete mod, and it's an entire tech chock-full of lua. Guess I just suck at baby steps. This mod adds the Eclipse mercs from Mass Effect 2 as a playable faction. They're vanilla-balanced to the best of my ability while keeping them distinctive.

Eclipse operates operates partially as a legitimate security company, but is also involved in smuggling and narcotics production in lawless space. While Eclipse forces lack heavy armor, they have a versatile arsenal and powerful, highly-mobile asari biotic specialists.

Actors:
--LOKI Mech: A cheap, expendable robot unit. It has similar stats to a Dummy, but is slightly more resistant to gunfire and much heavier.
--Eclipse Trooper: Your baseline infantry, good for wielding all sorts of weaponry. They have full-face helmets, but are still not especially durable.
--Eclipse Vanguard: An asari fighter capable of using biotic charge, which flings her a long distance and creates a powerful but harmless-to-friendlies explosion where she lands. She is only a little more expensive than the trooper due to the high risk inherent in jumping directly at the enemy. Identifiable from adepts by the helmet she wears.
--Eclipse Adept: A powerful asari biotic, and acting as one of this faction's heavy-weapon options, she can create a biotic singularity, which sticks where it lands, sucks in enemies, and eventually explodes. She is much more mobile than other heavy-weapon troops, since the biotic power has no weight. However, she doesn't wear a helmet, so she's only as durable as a Ronin light soldier.

Weapons:
--M-4 Shuriken Machine Pistol: Eclipse's go-to sidearm. It is more destructive than most pistols due to a three-round burst, but also inaccurate.
--M-9 Tempest SMG: Trades accuracy for high rate-of-fire and capacity. A good weapon for fighting indoors.
--M-15 Vindicator Battle Rifle: A rifle firing three-round bursts. Overall rate-of-fire is lower than comparable assault rifles, but range and accuracy are higher. It is suitable for fighting outdoors, or in large interior spaces. It's the closest thing Eclipse has to a general-purpose weapon.
--M-27 Scimitar Assault Shotgun: A semi-automatic shotgun with a good balance of rate-of-fire and damage. It's a close-range weapon for when the Tempest isn't enough.
--M-97 Viper Sniper Rifle: A fast-firing precision weapon. It is obviously excellent at long-range shooting, but also versatile enough to be used up close in a pinch.
--ML-77 Missile Launcher: Eclipse's other heavy-weapon option. It fires small homing missiles from a six-shot magazine, to devastating effect. It is too heavy for anyone to lift it very far by jetpacking, but vanguards can use charge to bring it up to higher places.
--M-1 Disk Grenade: Similar to a normal grenade, but has a physics-defying near-flat trajectory. It is still suitable for bouncing around corners, but has the added benefits of range and precision.

Is it compatible with void wanderers?

I've thought the Blood Pack might be interesting to make, but don't expect them. I'm not working on any mods for this game right now.

Any other ME faction?
This one is great, and having more or less full ME set would be fantastic

Can we expect to see Blue Suns?

@FortituousHeathen At this resolution, my options for distinguishing one set of yellow-armored, blue-skinned humanoids from another are limited. They aren't all blue, though; the troopers are human under those enclosed helmets.

@Borkorus The helmetless ones have exactly the same durability as light ronin, and the helmeted ones have about the same durability as light coalition. LOKIs are a little sturdier than dummies. They're vanilla-balanced, with the lack of heavy troopers or armored crabs being a tradeoff for high mobility and excellent heavy weapons.

These look like those commie space weebs

Have you considered making them less fragile? They are great overall, but as an AI faction they can't really show their potential, since even ronins are harder to kill than these guys.

It's great!
