Sodor railway technically starts in 1804 with horses helping to pull the mine carts, so I can see why it starts in 1850

Why does it start in 1850 even when I change it to 1900?

@chris_stiverson: my Steam profile might be private, but my list of Workshop items are certainly public: Transport Fever 1 and Transport Fever 2

If you look at the very top of any Steam Workshop page, such as this one, you'll see links:
[GAME]> Workshop > [AUTHOR]'s Workshop
e.g. " Transport Fever > Workshop > SoftwareSimian's Workshop "
which is what I suggested you click.

@Santa Fiach: you need to have Experimental Map Sizes enabled

\Steam\userdata\<steamid>\446800\local\settings.lua

look for "experimentalMapSizes" and change false to true

@Captainamtrak456: in Sandbox mode just click the date and change to whatever date you want.
