can't seem to get this to work I have all the required DLC, and have even tried it with only this mod enabled... confirmed that the mod is present in the mod folder for the game too... is there something i am missing?

It took some time but I'm pushing an update based on the comments of LeeS/Ishipp below, thanks for bringing this to my attention as lua is greek (or portugese, if you will) to me. PlotIterators has been fixed and the lua is all activated now.

Have your guy ask for help on CivFanatics where the discussion on what went wrong with the lua code can be a bit more private. Might take me a day or so to respond but I will help fix the code and explain to your guy what he did wrong.

Lung, I don't mean to be mean but .. um .. well, the lua code is both completely broken and probably not the source of the odd behavior.

Neither of the two lua files are being activated in any way. And in no case should William Howard's PlotIterators.lua file be renamed and added into the VFS system with an alterred name. This is because of the way the lua "incllude" command works: it punishes everyone when one mod has an altered version of a file that contains the text string "PlotIterators.lua" in its filename because the game's lua system has a habit under these circumstances of picking the wrong file out of the game's VFS system.

@Scott - Thanks for the praise, and for the constructive criticism. The easy answer is I wasn't aware that Drekkis moved 10 tiles, I'm going to have to check the mop code and see if I messed up big time somewhere. They should be going the same speed as a regular Caravel. Does this specifically happen when escorting Missionaries because if so the buff to missionary embark speed might be weirdly effecting the Drekki too?

As for the Skutilsveinr conversion ability, I think maybe a compromise will be made. I'll talk with the guy who does my Lua stuff and see if instead of a full conversion the Skutilsveinr can do a single covert charge ala a missionary when they take a city.

Awesome mod, but please remove the Skutilsveinr ability of converting cities. It's a bit op and makes the Drekki ability of giving movement to missionaries pointless. Also the Drekki movement is way too high. I would put it at 5 or maybe 6 but not 10.
