HR 'Jones Goods' 4-6-0

Description

Designed by David Jones, the Class I 'Jones Goods' or 'Big Goods' was the most powerful main line engine in Great Britain at the time of their introduction. Originally intended for heavy freight duties, the Class I was so successful that it was also used on fast passenger services as well. 15 models were built, and they survived the Grouping, becomign a part of the LMS fleet for many years. All but one were scrapped by 1940, with number 103 set aside for preservation by the LMS. Then please consider sending a small donation to show your appreciation by donating to my Paypal[www.paypal.me] - by no means should you feel obligated in any way to do so, but every little bit helps with various bills and living expenses and whatnot (and I'm sure you can appreciate, it can be tough to make ends meet!). Any money goes towards essentially helping me produce more models of better quality, and more quickly and efficiently, and is always incredibly appreciated.

Requests and Feedback

Constructive feedback is always welcome, and I love reading your comments, so if you have any notes on what I can improve, or just want to leave a nice message, by all means please leave a post below! However, I'm not currently taking requests - I've already got a shortlist of about a dozen different projects I'm working on - so if you have a locomotive or vehicle you desperately want to see in game, it's best to leave a post in the Workshop forum for other modders to see and consider for their own future projects. :)

Sweet. Looking forward to seeing it fit the rails properly. :)

@DaciaSaoirse: Great catch! I actually didn't notice this until you pointed it out - turned out I had set up the tender as a 'child' of the engine (like how you would set up a bogie to behave correctly), which was what was causing the odd behaviour.

I've just pushed through an update, and I've also gone through and fixed a few errant or bad textures I noticed as well.

While this was running on some tighter turns, I noticed it didn't line up properly with the rails. It seems as though it lines up between points somewhere in front of and behind the driving wheels, so the whole driving set slides off to the inside of curves.

@A Guy Called Pi: I'm going through and revising textures and stuff as I go, but I might overlook things so if you spot anything feel free to point it out :P

A boiler dome that didn't recolour properly, I mean.

I vaguely recall some of your engines not recoloring properly in TF1....is that still an issue? I love using them in my game, but it was a bit of a bummer to see that. I think it was a boiler dome or something.
