Hillbilly T3 modified version of the excellent Talon-T2 by @jrandall, original here:

The idea with this mod was to take a really excellent hull designed under strict T2 constraints, and slam a great big T3 cpu in and 'overprop' it so that it could handle a wider range of scenarios - basically a swiss army spaceship. So we have more thrust (in particular downward for high-g worlds, and port/starboard for parallel parking), some RCS, a constructor, a shield so you can dangerzone-explore* planets without worrying about Zirax potshots, and an expanded fuel bay and (probably not optimised) economy mode for cruising. Also I made it black with blue highlights to give it a 'covops' feel, and because I like blue.

Trade-offs? Performance-wise none because it's T3 so there's more room to play with. But speaking of room, the inside is less spacious and pretty due to hillbilly modding.
