Description
Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions, a division of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, presents the Deep Reach Hydro Miner, a non-nuclear variant of the Deep Reach Offworld Miner that uses only batteries and hydrogen thrusters (i.e., no nuclear reactors). Deep Reach Hydro Miner is a vanilla small-grid design without mods or DLC, and contains no rotors or pistons making it a perfect survival-ready solution for large mining projects.

Designed as a high-capacity vertical miner that operates in space or on a moon's surface, the Deep Reach Hydro Miner extracts ores effortlessly with its 36 drills that are optimally spaced and stores ore in 10 large cargo containers. Fully loaded with ore and/or ice, the payload capacity of this miner is 766 tons (including 25 tons more for ice and ammo) using 1-1-1 realistic settings. The tested lift capacity of this ship exceeds the carrying capacity of all available storage, i.e., 10 cargo containers, 36 drills, connector, and cockpit, and requires the additional thrust of the four (4) large hydrogen thrusters for lift when fully loaded. As with the other Deep Reach versions, this ship will easily pass through an 8-block wide by 4-block high large-grid opening.

Hydrogen gas reserves are contained within eight (8) hydrogen tanks, and nine (9) O2/H2 generators allow for remote replenishment of the hydrogen gas stores giving the Deep Reach Hydro Miner remarkable range, even when fully loaded.

NOTE: Ingame scripts (in advanced settings) must be enabled for the autolevel script to function while in a moon's gravity well!

NO MODS, NO DLC, NO ROTORS/PISTONS; SURVIVAL READY AND PROJECTOR BUILDABLE!

My miners are designed to extract ore and dump waste stone. You can collect stone by disabling the 36 "DRHM - Ejector XX" (turn them off; you need to show visibility of some components in the control menu because a lot of the ship's components are not visible), and changing the four "DRHM - Small Sorter - Ore" from blacklist stone to whitelist stone.

how to dig a stone on it?

Thanks. I've got a bunch of other miners and tunnelers you might consider, depending on your needs. Here are some links (you'll find horizontal and vertical tunnelers in my utility vehicles collection):

I wish I had seen this before spending 'days' hollowing out a mountain for my base. It looks impressive and cool, well done.

You don't mention stone getting stuck, so I'm going to assume that the four ore/ice sorters are not operating correctly. Sometimes SE gets confused. Try reversing the sorter logic for those four sorters. They're currently set to blacklist stone. Change them to instead whitelist ore and ice. See if that solves the problem. Also, exit SE and reload. More often than not, a simple exit/reload cycle fixes the glitchiness of SE.

Nice but can't seem to get the ore OUT of the drills, ive tried a millon things with the sorters, turning them on/off allowing drain on/off, even tried attaching convyor tubes from the drills tubes directly to the cargo, cannot add/remove ores even using that method.

Yeah, or any number of thruster mods.

Might work if you work in one of Major Jon's clang drives and script.

Hey, thanks. I wish I could've made it work on planets, too, with a full load. It just requires way too many thrusters.

Nicely done dude, works like a dream. Trying to make a ship with hangar bays designed around this thing now for a mobile base setup.
