Description
Pears Motor Works proudly presents the PMW Thunderbird 2 starter CV edition. This cheap CV, build for the International Rescue group, holds a lot of cargo, has a spacious hangar and has all upgrade options aboard to get you comfortably into endgame. No zascosium or erestreum required! Shown stats are with 2 HV's docked, plenty of thrust, but handles like a bigger cargo vessel should.

In the cockpit you will find most used devices like a medical station, advanced constructor and cargo controller (maxed out: 320.000 units). There is space for a T2 CPU extension and a repair station to be installed.
In the engine bay you will find a mock up of a shield generator, install that and you are virtually bullet proof. A secondary internal cockpit, and an O2 dispenser can be found on this level as well.
Space for 9 growplots is allocated, install on your own pace. Next to that is the kitchenette area and ammo storage. Moving to the back, beside the hangar, you will find the bunks. You can easily remove the 2 small generators and install a bigger T1 generator there. On the other side of the hangar is a fully stocked med bay.

The hangar has motion sensors installed, but is not pressurised. The rest of the vessel of course is fully airconditioned. In the front of the cockpit you will find an emergency exit with switch.
Hitting the emergency button in the P menu will open all doors on the vessel, so the occupants can get to safety/outside quickly. A switch for the bottom hatch of the hangar will allow small HVs quick access into the hangar. A switch on the ceiling of the cockpit, or in the P menu, will turn off all flight systems. Handy to safe some fuel whilst the rest of the ship stays powered on for protection. The main cockpit has a PoV bug, I know and reported it. I just liked the look of this one for this build, first-person-loving pilots might want to switch it for a different model.
There are 2 sentry turrets and 1 cannon turret installed at the front of the ship. There are plenty of options marked for extending the defences. Under the wings you could fit fixed weapons. Next to the warp drive you can see 2 small fuel tanks which you can upgrade in to two T2 fuel tanks. The floor of the hangar can house more downwards thrusters and most thrusters can be upgraded to bigger ones, on some spots you might need to remove a block for them to fit. Installing T2 CPU should allow you a repair station and or repair bay, shield, more thrust and more fire power. Upgrading to T3 or T4 is possible too of course. I marked some spots in the hangar, under the core. Easy enough to upgrade the hull to stronger materials if desired.
In other words, this vessel will serve you well into your mid to end game!

based on the Thunderbird 2 from the animated 2015 "Thunderbirds are go" series.
more Thunderbirds builds can be found in the collection I linked!
The Thunderbird2 SV is more detailed, but I felt this cool vessel deserved an CV version too. It's about 1,5 times bigger than the "real" thing, to allow a little bit of shaping.
