Float Name: The Good News

Float Inspiration and Backstory:
This float was entered in a competition held by Black Wulfe Gaming YouTube challenge. The rules were simple: it had to be family friendly as if your grandmother was watching. The epiphany I had from these rules was not if my grandmother was watching, instead it was: what parade would she take me to? That was easy as she always enjoyed the small, hometown parades that took place during certain holidays. My humble float may not appear as much, but the point was to make it meaningful to a small town. Something a community would gather together to build. Something that had meaning, the reason for any season: John 3:16.

Float description:
I wanted this float to look like it was made from a small town, so the goal was not to make it flashy or super realistic. You can see supports that hold objects, some studders in mechanical movement, etc. These imperfections are what makes it have that small-town feel. Although this may not win any beauty awards, I wanted to make it with enough unique features that it would still stand out. The features are listed below.

The tractor:
Standard WASD controls
Number one (switch lever) turns on and off the simulated exhaust pipes. They also speed up and slow down depending on the speed.
logic rear differentials
Adjustable seat, set the spring tension to 2 or higher for 1st person view or leave it at 1 for 3d person. Spring is visible behind the seat.

The trailer float:
Switch on the hitch will open and close the locking pin
Switch behind the hitch is the jack.
Switch near the electrical box behind the jack turns on the float.

Before you drive:
Activate the switch on the caution blocks between the tractor and trailer to release the weld and delete the rest of the caution blocks.
