Old STATUSRing

Description

STATUSRing is located at O'Neill Airbase, in the Sawyer Isles

STATUSRing is a demanding circuit, and will test all aspects of your car's performance and handling, from low speed cornering and braking to high speed stability and flat out top speed. The track is divided into three sections, each with corners inspired by some of the best race tracks in the world.

Fancy Motorsports provided an incredibly nice lap timer and staging system. Simply drive up and follow the directions on the display to start your laps. Press the red button to reset the system.

- Create a new game
- Select O'Neill Airbase
- Click "Enabled Playlists", select STATUSRing under the Workshop tab
- Optionally, you can spawn the paddock area by pressing "N" and selecting the mission under the workshop tab.

Open to any realistic vehicles. Post a video and a link to your vehicle's workshop page in the hot lap discussion, and I'll add you and a link to your vehicle on the board.

What a project this was... I knew the track would be big, so I went to extremes to ensure the best performance possible. Tape on my monitors, edited .xml's, at least a case of Red Bull, and multiple complete redesigns... But I think it was worth it. This track should be fun to drive, but should also assist you in tuning and creating better vehicles. It's a demanding track, but it's definitely possible to build vehicles to master it. Special thanks to Fancy for creating the lap timer. If anyone is interested in tackling the task of making it infinite, please let me know. Also, a huge thank you again to mistercynical. Your advice and feedback were essential.

Ah I see, I just wanted to use the same bumpers and such for a standardised track style

Nah, it’s all built from scratch

Yeah, I downloaded the new one. Are the assets you used listed on the workshop? I'd love to make some tracks myself in a similar style.

Thanks. You should really use the new statusring or the Arctic ring though. This is very old.

This is incredible, I love it and wish to use it for my formula races in future

My F1 car (still working on it) has 0.5 blocks ground clearance and gets easy enough through turns and gets a top speed of 370 on the last straight way so i think it works

Here's my car: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2220267746 It has almost no ground clearance and it does fine with the bumps.

its a really nice track if your car has enough ground clearence to not explode on impact with a stupid one block tall item that could have easily been half a block or less with mission editing and is probably something extremely easy to update

also formula one cars are probably lower then you think but aren't super low due to race requirements I have seen a formula one car in person they are pretty sweet, but no it would not be able to go over one of these things without the front being destroyed.
