Hook of Holland (Hoekse Lijn) Gateway of the Continent!

Description
During a century the Hoek van Holland Haven station was the starting point of many international boat trains. For British travelers, arriving by ferry from Harwich, 'the Hook' was the gateway of the continent. From there they took the train to Berlin or the luxurious Rheingold to Switzerland. After World War II the number of international services reached a peak with trains such as the Holland-Scandinavia Express and even the Orient Express. Exactly 100 years after its opening, the last international train left the station for Moscow. Today only photos and posters remind of Hook of Holland's heyday - more info https://retours.eu/en/32-Hoek-van-Holland-Harwich-Continent/# . And now also lovingly recreated in Transport Fever 2 by myself with over 100 hours of research/patience & memories poured into it. Welcome to my save game creation of one of my childhood favourite railways, Hoekse Lijn, a commuter & ferry service running from Rotterdam to Hoek van Holland. I was hoping to use the heydays of this line, 1950s to late 1960s but due to not being alive (no memories) plus I could only find limited visual references to the line and the surrounding areas for that particular era, I decided to go with @1975 to early 80s thus using my childhood memories, internet info and a few youtube videos. The quality on the old videos was pretty poor but at least it jogged my memory of many sights, best videos of cabin rides are from 1992+ but alas that was well past the peak of this wonderful railway line. Even during my time spend there as a child, things changed so rapidly but I do have many memories of train trips with my dad and watching the ferry trains thunder by during warm summer evenings. Although not a perfect re-creation, both limited by visual references & limits of Transport Fever 2, I feel it is close enough so that anyone who travelled on this line anytime from the 1970s onwards, should recognise it and if you never travelled on this line, welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. Best way to enjoy this save game is to view the trains with 'Watch Me' in their title, the game loads paused and zoomed in on Platform 1 at Rotterdam and there's a commuter train (Stop Trein) just coming in, so just click on it and use the on board camera, enjoy the ride & view. There's several other watch me trains you can board as well, most others are simply there for traffic viewing pleasure. There are of course a fair few assets that need to be installed mostly Dutch stock (a big thank you again to some of the Dutch stock content creators, please thumbs up if you like their creations). I hope you will enjoy the ride and if you do/did, please do thumbs up, perhaps leave a comment. This is my first TF2 creation but hopefully not my last, I am an active content creator in my spare time and have done so for many years for many games/sims/apps. Should you feel you wish to thank my creation with a small donation then please feel free and use https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=XALAN82RGF5TL&source=url (wallpaper engine donation link) it would certainly be appreciated and I often pass the proceeds on to other content talented creators (like the Dutch Stock creators). PS I was careful in regards to frame rates and kept the map to small and the assets to a reasonable number so not to bog down slower PCs. If you do find the save game runs slow, simply reduce the town sizes starting with Hoek van Holland and work your way down, they just grew pretty big while I spend over 100 hours creating this scenario.

@brennandhull: This one took me just over 6 weeks and 100+ hours. But I always wanted to do it since Train Fever and I'm glad I did it. I might do more but first I need to think about which stretch of railway line I will be doing and will need enough videos for visual references.
@Froggy_NL: Not lived in Holland since 1983, my main language is now English so alas my Dutch is a little rusty, hence the mistake on Nieuweland.

In 2017 The Hoekse Lijn is closed for NS trains and they begin the overhauling proces to metro line. In sept 2019 the Hoekse Lijn re-opend as part of the Rotterdam Metro (subway) line of the RET as the B line Rotterdam Nesselande-Hoek van Holland strand

Note: It is Schiedam Nieuwland - Not Nieuweland.
