SCENARIO:
You have been appointed as governor of the region Krasnojarsk by the central government in Moscow. Your main objective is to reorganize the oil production in the plains and explore the possibilities of extracting the rich ore deposits of the mountains to generate urgently needed foreign exchange.
Your main challenge will be the minimal infrastructure in this remote area. the river will be the backbone of your transport system since the swampy taiga and the steep mountains are no easy ground to build extended road and train networks.

You will start with a small oil production already in place and some more basic infrastructure such as a few small ships and small harbours. Moreover the government has assigned free basic goods you will need for your mission.

MAP:
This map is carefully modelled by hand and was inspired by the region around the upper Yenisei river in central Siberia. This region is characterised by the divide in vast taiga plains (West Siberian Plain) on the west banks of the river and the majestic mountains (Central Siberian Plateau) on the eastern banks of the Yenisei.
My aim for this map was to capture the width, beauty and remoteness of this lands and condensate the essential landscapes into the relative small map. The appearance of the mountains was inspired by the Siberian traps (Putorana Plateau) with its massive layered basalt deposits formed during an unprecedented volcanic eruption period at the Permian–Triassic boundary.
