Description
Space is a dangerous place, with any number of problems waiting for you to show up unprepared. Better dress for the job!

What does this mod do?
You get not one, not two, but three new types of Space Suits to choose from! All suits have a Female variant too!



::Hydrogen Suit::
The new default suit. Fancy new thrusters will fart you in any direction you want to go. Make sure you bring a hydrogen bottle though, or you'll be a bug on someone's windshield.

::Ion Suit::
The Spaceman's best friend. Increased Oxygen capacity, Increased storage, and doesn't need hydrogen. It's a bit slower, and you need to watch your energy consumption.

::Jump Suit::
This suit has it all. More storage. More oxygen. Better insulation. It's even got built-in cup holders. (oh but it doesn't have thrusters)

::Character Changes::
-Oxygen consumption raised from 0.063 to 0.225.
-Oxygen capacity decreased from 60 to 40 (Approx 5 minutes of breathing time).
-Power consumption in extreme temps decreased from x2.5 to x1.4 (in real life it takes about a full day to freeze in space, not 15 minutes).
-Automatically recharge your power if you have a Powerkit in your inventory.

::Item Changes::
-Oxygen Bottles capacity increased to 1440 (Approx 3 hours of oxygen per bottle).
-Hydrogen Bottles capacity increased to 1800 (Approx 8 minutes of sustained flight on a planet).
-Oxygen and Hydrogen volume increased to 300L.
-Powerkit recharged increased from 20 over 5 seconds to 75 instantly.

::Hydrogen Suit::
-Changed Flame colors to match Hydrogen thrusters.
-Force magnitude lowered to 800.
-Slowdown factor lowered to 1.25.
-Max power consumption lowered to 0.005 (this affects the hydrogen though?).
-Consumption in atmosphere per G lowered to 0.5.
-Increased Efficiency multiplier from 1 to 5. Be aware of this if you change your Hydrogen Energy Density.
-Made the suit twice as effective in atmosphere to offset the lowered force magnitude.
-Hydrogen capacity decreased to 80 (Approx 20 seconds of sustained flight on a planet, 60 seconds in space).

::Ion Suit::
-Reduced ForceMagnitude to 400.
-Reduced SlowdownFactor to 1.15.
-Removed hydrogen capacity and usage altogether.
-Reduced effectiveness to 0% in 100% atmosphere.
-Increased Oxygen capacity to 80, twice that of the Hydrogen suit.
-Increased Storage capacity from x0.4 to x0.5.

::Jump Suit::
-No thrusters, at all.
-Increased Storage capacity from x0.4 to x0.6
-Decreased Oxygen consumption multiplier from 1 to 0.5
-Decreased Energy consumption in extreme temps from 1.4 (the other suits) to 1.2

I must be missing something. Downloaded the mod locally and onto my server. Are these required to be found in the random beacons that spawn ingame. If not, how do we access the suits

Yes, but actually no. The game considers space an extremely cold climate, which isn't exactly uhh succinct. You would lose heat via radiation in space, instead of convection or conduction. Which means you would stay warm longer, so the suit would consume less energy in space to produce heat. That was the trade-off, as I felt losing what is noticeably a lot more energy while in unpressurized space versus pressurized space was kinda unrealistic, and definitely a drag on user experience.

I really like where you're going with this mod; have been thinking about smth similar.

One thing: "Power consumption in extreme temps lowered to 1"
-wouldn't the suit consume more power in order to create heat?

I might be missing smth ofc. =)

Reverted the slope threshold to vanilla values. The issue was because the new grated stairs model is not flush with the rest of the games blocks. GG KSH

@Lughbaloo They all have trouble transitioning from slopes or steps to catwalks, on other surfaces they work fine.

@Lughbaloo Awesome! Looking forward to it. And you are very welcome. Found one problem, and tested if it was your mod or another. The mod stops me from transitioning from stairs or ramps to a level platform in any suit. Its like you hit a wall.

@Prometheus_Unbound I actually have one planned. Traditionally, maneuvering units utilize nitrogen, and I am making another mod right now that adds nitrogen gas. Also thanks for all the kind words!
