Radio

This addon allows you to have a radio to stream music from YouTube / MP3 / SoundCloud. You can also put the radio in and remove from a vehicle.

Basic key (modifiable by each player):
  • Open the radio menu in a vehicle: M
  • Remove the radio from the vehicle (only the owner can do this): H

Installation
  • Download GWSockets[github.com] and place it in the srcds/garrysmod/lua/bin folder of your server (if it doesn't exist create it) -> While you don't have the plugin, you can always run the addon in a degraded mode
  • Download https://github.com/Numerix76/numerix_config_addons
  • Insert the "numerix_config_addons" folder in the .rar in the addons folder
  • Go to numerix_config_addons/lua/radio/config/sh_config.lua
  • Configure the addon as you wish

Trouble shooting
  • If the addon doesn't seems to load :
    • Make sure to have the right version of GWSockets
    • Make sure to have the libstdc++.so.6 librairie. If not, please contact your server host.
  • If you have an error when trying to play a song, please join the discord server Numerix Addons[discord.gg]

  • Play music from SoundCloud, YouTube, a website (url in .mp3), a live radio
  • Possibility of having the radio in hand, in a vehicle (Compatible: TDM, LW, WAC, Simfphys ...) and on the ground
  • 3D sound with volume reduction depending on distance
  • Stereo sound
  • Compatible with all game modes
  • Sound management (Volume, Time, Pause, Stop, Loop)
  • Visual customization
  • Server to which the radios can connect and listen in synchronizer to the music and the voice of the host
  • Possibility of restricting the management to the player and his FPP buddies

FAQ
  • What do you plan to add in the next updates?
    The suggestions you will make.

  • What game mode does it work on?
    Normally on all game modes. If this is not the case indicate me.

  • What type of vehicle does it work with?
    The radio currently works with basic vehicles (eg TDM), but also simfphys and WACs.

/!\ In the video I only show Youtube but you can obviously put SoundCloud, MP3 sounds as well as real radio

@pikajudge2010 it's not an obligation to have it. It will juste be better for long music and to see the progress of the conversion.

It's weird that I've been getting the error message that said that i needed the GWSocket, but only a couple weeks later, the error message stopped showing up, but should I still install the GMSocket?

@diddy_the_pro256 If you talk about the GWSockets plugin of course. Juste put the DLL in your lua/bin (in your game folder)

[Radio] : Can't connect to the backend or the conversion take too long. (Server returned nothing (no headers, no data))
How to fix?

it was likely a very lua intensive mod that would make the server reach the limit of lua scripts and random stuff like radio would stop working so maybe avoid extremely big mods or remove multiple smaller mods that have scripts to make room
