Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 Soundtrack

Description
So there are plenty of Neptunia themed mods, and there's a system to import custom soundtracks into XCOM 2. However, there isn't any mod that does both. I personally thought this was a huge missed opportunity and decided to fix that. So after a few months of screwing around, breaking things, fixing things, and generally learning just how little I actually know about both XCOM modding and the mechanisms of video game music in general, I've finally got a project ready to release.

And here you have it! The soundtrack of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth in XCOM 2!

Compatibility

I only tested this pack in WOTC, but I compiled it using the vanilla SDK, so in theory it shouldn't cause any problems with either version.
Requires the Music Modding System. If you don't have that, this will NOT work.

FAQ

This soundtrack doesn't belong in XCOM, it's too happy!
Funnily enough, I happen to agree that it doesn't thematically work. On the other hand, I like it as a soundtrack, and I had it.

Your loops suck!
These are, as close as I could make them, exactly the same loops the games used (The Neptunia games use 48kHz sampling to XCOM's 44.1kHz), lifted directly from the game's data. I literally cannot do better.

No, they really suck! The loop plays over the intro!
Huh. I thought I found all of those. Put your launch.log on Dropbox/Google Drive/etc. and post a link, I'll look into it. I tested as many tracks as I could, but funny story about my skill level and the late game...

What about the lose theme? Its loop isn't even a loop!
Open a copy of Re;Birth 1, go into the museum sound test, and select GAME OVER. It's not a loop. I don't know why, but I'm not a game developer

Why not use the actual credit theme from the game
Because it's part of a movie file, not the music files. If I get around to figuring out how to extract the movies, and pulling the audio from that, I might add it.

My Audiofile ears hear lossy artifacts YOU HEATHEN!
Game files. Nothing I can do. Blame ADPCM. I've checked four different Neptunia PC games from 2015 to 2019 and they all use it.

What about the other Neptunia games' soundtracks?
I plan to do them eventually, but making music packs that work for everybody requires the Vanilla SDK I've been using up to now, and I want to do a WotC mod next. I can still develop music packs with the WotC toolkit, but publishing them would lead to a broken mess in Vanilla XCOM, and I don't want to do that. If I do make more music packs alongside my next project, I'll have to wait until that's done to switch back to Vanilla tools and upload.

What is that crap in the mod image?
Well... it was my attempt to recreate the Re;Birth 1 title screen in the photobooth (Thank you /u/iamaniamschris for your Neptunia character pool). That said if someone has a better idea I'd be happy to listen.

Credits
Nobody programs in a vacuum. I would like to thank ∑3245, robojumper, and Iridar, along with the rest of the XCOM 2 Modding discord for answring my questions, and at the same time to apologize for making you put up with my rookie stupids (Turns out ADPCM WAVs don't have loop metadata, it's the XWB container...), and nintendoeats for their wonderful guide. I'd also like to thank Idea Factory, Compile Heart, and Felistella for the ridiculous and inexplicably endearing game that is Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth. I'm not trying to infringe anyone's copyright, just to make the world a slightly better (Or at least not worse) place with my megar skills.

So, my fellow Gameindustrians, go forth in the name of our Patrons and show those alien scum what for!

I'm currently working on something in the neighborhood, but it's not another soundtrack yet.

Ever plan on making mods of the other neptunia games?

Sorry, but sadly last time I tried to screen record in XCOM 2 my potato cranked the fans up to 125% and tried to vibrate itself right off my desk. It then proceeded to say something rude in what I believe was Klingon and died. ;)

So much as I'd like to, video's probably not happening.
