Description
While the cumbersome turret of the MkV meant the the Tyomi Navy disregarded it after the production of a single prototype, the cheaper and more practical MkVI gained much favour. Taking the concept of the MkIV's large bore cannon one step further, the MkVI mounts a huge gun on the lower hull. It has been nicknamed the 'Can Opener' because the cannon's size is large enough to pierce the heaviest of armour, found on ships which Tyomin is currently unable to build.The drawbacks to such a radical design are that the main gun can only fire directly ahead of the ship, and the MkVI has poorer speed and handling characteristics than both the MkIII and IV (though far better than the proposed MkV).

Thanks! :D I'm enjoying having a go at making a fleet with the concept of a faction with more limited technology and resources. Packing a size 5 cannon onto what is essentially a frigate was the only way I could think of that a faction with nothing bigger could take on a Cruiser or Battleship.
