Description
long, two-handed weapon ( War Hammer like weapon)

THE ITEM IS CRAFTABLE AT THE FORGE UNDER THE CATEGORY: WOOD (MISC)

The Shillelagh is a traditional stick weapon used throughout the history of Ireland. It was a badge of honor, and symbol of courage for the brave Irishmen who wielded the great icon.

Today, Shillelagh is a broad term, typically used to describe most Irish stick weapons made of Blackthorn, Oak, and several other woods. However, there are actually many different variations of the weapons style.

The Cleith Shillelagh was a long knobbed staff between 4 to 9 feet. They are wielded with two hands at one end of the staff. It was designed to be used as a two-handed sword, and to knock opponents off horseback. It would also work well to keep multiple opponents back at once, or to trip up the enemy to assure a more devastating blow. While slower than the shorter Alpeen Shillelagh, it's strike would prove to be much more grievous.

A greatsword or great ax is fine for set battles, but for those casual strolls around the hold there's nothing so good as a good stick! Upgrade it at the grind stone and add an suitable enchantment (I tend to favor making it an undead whacker) and go for a stroll about.
