An important part of dealing with weapons is doing the required amount of damage to the required area. Biological weapons are no exception to this rule.

When used on a wide scale on the battlefield, the main aim is to lock down manpower through the use of the outbreak. In such cases, increasing the number of individuals requiring care is to be desired. In other words, the vector must be designed to have a high infection rate and low mortality rate.

Conversely, when used to destroy on a small scale, a high mortality rate with a low infection rate to avoid the proliferation of victims is to be desired.

2. Exceptions

The more infectious strain has a low mortality, and the less lethal strain has a high infection rate.
These are the desired specifications of the completed products, but should strains still in development escape, this will not necessarily be the case. Also, should the product be allowed to multiply on a large scale, mutation may occur and cause the product to take on different qualities from its original state.
In light of this possibility, care must be taken when dealing with the product.
