Using just one mod (My CWP), this blueprint provides a fully tracked chassis with functional road, tension and return wheels. Use this for whatever you want, be sure to post links to your creations you've built with it or the knowledge it may have helped you gain.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage:
1. Reverse Left Track
2. Reverse Right Track
3. Handbrake
4. Unlock Landing Gear
5. Autolock Landing Gear
6. Decrease Return Roller height offset (For locking)
7. Increase Return Roller height offset

Top speed of 50km/h but I recommend a limit of 30km/h for stability purposes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remember to save the vehicle with Ctrl+Alt+B/C/X to take the tracks with it once the landing gear are locked.
Make backups to avoid losing work from the tracks not being on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tips on how I build my own tracked vehicles:

1. Retract the tension wheels to the max height offset (+26cm)
2. Measure the length of the tank from the edge of each end wheel
3. Double that, add however many blocks worth to the count to make up for the curving on the ends
4. Make a track to approximately fit that length
5. Find the centre of the track length and place detacher blocks on both sides so your tracks aren't reversed on both sides/different lengths
6. Build pistons on the lowest parts of the hull in the centre to hold the tracks on
7. Extend them to max, attach the tracks then retract so that the tracks are snug over the top wheels
8. Shape the track in any way needed (I keep the track tense at 448kn and drop the chassis onto the track to bend it)
around the wheels until the ends of each side overlap
9. Click 'attach' on the tracks
10. Delete the detachers, detach the track once you have some way or confidence in their alignment
11. Reduce torque so that they are malleable and put the tensioners to 20-30% strength
12. Extend as necessary until the track is taught

how do I make the actual track system? I can't figure out what I am supposed to do,there are the fake ones I think are supposed to go with the wheels but then that is still a wheeled vehicle and not a tracked one. I am very new to this game.

Oh, that's bad news. It's a shame that SE breaks everything with each update.

Having the same trouble as these other guys with the blueprint just basically flying.

I'm having the same problem as ZeNorwegian. I place the chassis as-is. Then I unlock the landing gear and attempt to drive. With both left and right tracks engaged, the front of the chassis lifts skyward, and with both disengaged, the rear does the same. Is this because there is supposed to be more weight on the chassis itself?

Thank you for uploading a demo model!

I am having trouble using it though. Even when the tracks are unlocked, the tracks start wobbling and the vehicle lifts its rear skyward. Am I missing something?

I always love these kinds of blueprints. It makes testing out additional mods really easy, because I don't need to build an all-new vehicle for it.
