Original Robits Donut Steel

Sorta taking a break from historic skins, so here's a pack of robots. This is my first attempt at modeling a playermodel from scratch for Ravenfield, though the hands and boots were modified from the vanilla soldier.

Since this is my first "original" work on the workshop, here's some LORE.




Japan:
Threatened by advancements in biological engineering in the mid 21st century, [PLACEHOLDER] Heavy Industries shifted their extant domestic robot program towards military and law enforcement applications.

Notable modifications from the base domestic model include a hardened data link suite from marine robots and an armored face shield.

Uniform Variants:
-Robit Woodland
Standard spec combat android.
-Robit Desert
Desert Uniform Ver.
-Robit Airborne
Reprint of the mid-60s vintage "Fang" pattern of the JGSDF 1st Airborne Brigade.
-Robit Winter JP
Winterization modifications include a hoodie printed in the winter version of the JGSDF flektarn and a pair of kneesocks.


China:
A year and a half after the public unveiling of [PLACEHOLDER] Heavy Industries' combat androids, leaked photographs from the North Eastern No. [PLACEHOLDER] Automotive Plant showed a set of androids that bore a striking resemblance to [PLACEHOLDER] Heavy Industries'. [PLACEHOLDER] Heavy Industries sought legal action, but to no avail.

While an unlicensed copy of [PLACEHOLDER] Heavy Industries' combat android, No. [PLACEHOLDER] Automotive Plant made a number of changes to the base model. Visually, the most notable change are the rounded data link antennas.

Uniform Variants:

Uniform in the "Universal" variant of the Type 07 pattern.
-Robit Arid
Digital Desert Pattern.
-Robit Reversible
Another throwback pattern, this time the DPM side of the Vietnam era Type 81 reversible uniform.
-Robit Winter CN
Popular with the Canadian export market.


BONUS:
-Protobot
Prototype of the combat android. The designer was unable to model a proper head at the time, so he just slapped on an ancient CRT monitor along with gluing on a small aerial.

All models, with the exception of the Protobot, are Team Colored.
