Bug should be fixed now. At least I can't seem to replicate it anymore.




So this is my first mod, please be kind.
Might work for the beta branch too, haven't tested it there. You let me know and I will update it.

Adds two new Mining Lasers and reduces costs of mining lasers in general.
Strip Miners have increased range and damage over the normal mining lasers, but are also larger in size and slot requirement. There is a new refining Strip Mining Laser wich works much like normal mining lasers and a Raw varient.
With the reduced cost, normal mining lasers are now cheap alternatives and the strip miners become the expensive high tech upgrade.

Been looking at KaneNODs work, so gotta give some credit to him.
Also gotta give some credit to Koonschi and his turret examlpe.
I also know there is a simelar mod out there, but it was not working at the time of making this mod, so yeah, do not know how that one work.

Still in testing phase, so if you find any bugs or broken things... well, please let me know and I will try and fix it.

There appear to be a conflict with the "extended material radius" mod, I'll test it later and update the mod if I can't get it to work D:

*Notice*
There appears to be a problem with the standard coaxial turret design, which prevents the 2 turrets from firing the beam. I'll be looking into this, so please be patient!
In the meanwhile, you can use custom designs to work around this.

No worries, rebuilding them on the ship mostly fixes it, thankfully the Command for Mining operations seems not affected thankfully

either im doing something wrong or Miners et to Auto mine sometimes just stop mining with those Mining turrets on the ship^^

I will not reduce the range of the turrets, but I have reduced the range for crafted turrets. 9-10km range was the intended goal from the get go, but I can see after the 2.0 update, crafted turrets could get... much longer range than that. Now they should, unless you are very very lucky, not exceed much for than 15km for crafted ones.

Sorry if you were looking for even less, but i wan't them to be competitive with mining fighter carriers. :/

Also, I don't think there should be problems with building strip miner fighters. They at least seemed to work on my end, though I didn't do much more than basic testing.

so Drazhill since this other modder is toxic by disabling comments (cause why not talk to improve & find the bugs?) why not make a mod that does the same thing but without this line of spaghetti code & IS compatible?
