Description
**Abandoned**
I had to take a Real Life break for a long time, and when I got back, the game had changed so many things that I couldn't cleanly retrofit all the changes I wanted to make so I started over. Check out my newest build at https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=432666096

Basic Stats:
- 2 points of entry (loading dock & small ship landing pad)
- 14 levels
- 94 seperate compartments (37 acessed through atrium area)
- 4 small ships parking capacity
- 29 large cargo container cargo hold
- Industrial production area within cargo hold

Notes:
* I had originally built this with the idea that there might eventually be pressurized atmosphere inside the structure, but since there isn't, I am finding interior doors a bit tedious so I've tried to leave double (air lock) doors with one set open.

* There are a few flights of stairs, but most of the 14 levels are accessed by climbing ladders. This can also be a bit tedious, and I hope to see a elevator / lift system in the future.

* My cargo handling theory involves the Cargo Pusher mooring at the edge of the station's gravity well, and hoisting cargo along the gangway to the proximity of the intended space of the Cargo Pusher. The cargo container is then gently nudged off the edge of the gravity well into zero G and positioned and locked into the Cargo Pusher.

*This is my second station build since I joined the Alpha, and I just liked the way this one turned out. My goal was to push the limits of my computer and see how big of scale I could go before I start start seeing slow rendering issues, and to see if I can design the structure to kinda work with the slow rendering issues that come with using too many of the complex objects.

I have only built small unarmed ships with only the minimum structure needed to get around, so please no judgements.

Update 12.12.2013:
It's definitely a drain on my computer, but I feel it's playable with dropped frame rates not being to hard to live with like I set out to do in the beginning. There are now 2 more small cargo hoppers and a large cargo hauler/pusher that all could be kinda fun to do some crash testing. I may make some small cosmetic touch-ups in the future, but this will likely be my final version. Enjoy!

Update 12.14.2013:
I took a break and explored other people's projects, and I found countless sources of inspiration. Once inspired, I came back, made few modifications based on some things I'm seeing what everyone is doing. I will keep exploring and I may come back with other updates in the near future.

Update 2.1.2014:
After further exploartion of other people's builds, I decided make a few modifacations to adapt to slow-rendering issues. Dividing the structure out into seperate compartments seems to have given my system less line-of-site stuff to render so I seem to having much less small lag artifacts than I was with wide-open interior spaces. I've also widened the large-cargo loading dock.
