WORKERS OF THE REPUBLIC!

History of the nation:

After the 2. World War the USRN (The United Socialists Republic of Neuwälder) or just Neuwälder, was formed as a socialist cooperative state by the people, for the people. This small satellitstat became a independent part of the eastern block in 1948 but was left undevelop and neglected for many years now, due to typical inefficiency and lazyness by the Neuwälder central committee... 12 years has gone by now since they kickstarted a 4-year modernisation plan.... to rival the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik) In that time they have only managed to complet a national road system, but without realizing the fact that nobody owns a car, and they have also amassed 10mill. rubles & 2mill. dollars in hard currency. But no industry, no new housing, no income, and little or no support by the people! Moscow is not happy with the situation and have demanded action now. The central committee will enjoy a nice permanent vacation at a tourist destination in Siberia, so time for a so-called "election"

This is where YOU come in.

Your arrival at the capital city of Ulfdorf in the glorious nation of USRN marked a turning point in its history. With your high ranking diplomatic skills, your KGB education, and a few wet kisses, your where "electet" dictator for life, as Ceaușescu called it..... With the help of 99.9% of the votes, the secret police, and the armed forces... of course... You where assured the peoples "loyal" support for years to come, and the inauguration of the new Premier heralded a time of hard work and prosperity for the people of Neuwälder.

The national economy:

USRN´s economy have for far too long been inadequate for its status. There a many untapped resources in the hills, huge green forests, a large workforce, and the freshwater is clean, but lack of infrastructure, besides the nationale roadsystem is stagnating the development of our glorious socialist state. But there a possibilities! Geotechnical analyzes have revealed significant wealthy deposits of minerals and fossil-fuels (irradiated & non-irradiated) and a nuclear program would surely boost our nations economy. Commercial shipping lanes runs just outside our seashors, and the road connection to our "Warsaw Pact" partners has been established. There a lush and fertile agricultural land near most of our major cities, especially near Wissenheim, and our huge forests is just begging to be chopped. Only the northen route to the capitalist yankees in the so-called "Free West" remains more or less undeveloped due to political tensions.
The great "Antifaschistischer Schutzwall" has therefore been erected, to protect the northen frontier of the motherland. Our comrades from the USSR advise you not to fraternize or communicate with the West, that falls under Kreml´s authority. Trading resources of no strategic value is allowed nonetheless, but be on the lookout for suspicious looking people in trenchcoat and fedora hats!

Raise production and live up to the communist ideals!

Last words: (Mapinfo)

The map "looks" mountainous, but it is actually very flat (8.18m over sealevel, or when its not a mountain ofc) and workspace is plentiful. Access to resources is easy, and there a hidden vallys, key accesspoints, and sits prepared for transpotation purposes.
(Ergo: Easy building and fun)

The map is made with vanilla version 0.8.5.12, no mods needed.

Plz leave a like and a comment, if you appreciate my work.

Have fun & good luck. Thx. :)

is there a blank version without the cities etc or is that easy enough to mod myself in the map editor?

Hi, is this nice map usable in game version 1.0?

I love this map, it is perfect for me because it is flat but has mountains, lakes and rivers. And cities based on net, not randomly set buildings. I waiting for other maps in this style.

Greetings comrades. I have finally come around to updating Neuwälder. I have created 2 bauxite depostis and taken 2 coal away. 1 new village and i have also made a miniature "Berlin Wall" in the north, plus some checkpoints around the countryside for aesthetics. There is also new screenshots and bits of lore. :steamhappy: Happy for your support.

By far one of the best maps I have ever played on. So flat, yet so much diversity. Absolutely 10/10 map.

I am not so far producing alloys. Is there no bauxite on the map? Never checked. If so it's easy to put some via "che".
