Description
WHI - Piloted M3 class miner

The M3P is re-imagining of the old M3 drone that uses a cockpit for manual control. It has the same storage capacity of 1 large and 1 medium container, with some added storage from the cockpit. The miner is made to be free from all types of scrips or mods to fit the more restrictive scenarios that don't allow scripts or mods. It comes with a projector (turned off by default) to help with repairs.

@FunkyBacon - as I said, everything is on, I did find and fix the problem however.

During the build I was switching off engines as I completed them so as not to kill the battery on my projector, I didn't notice this at the time but while navigating the control panel using my controller I accidentally put a couple of the thrusters on override which basically cancels your dampers even if they're switched on.

@Murton - Perhaps this is a dumb question but are the intertial dampeners on? (Z button)

With a full cargo container it should be able to still fly at 1km altitude. Just don't stuff the drills or it may get overweight.

Othervise, the only thing I can think of is the batteries being out of juice or not all thrusters being on.

Just built this and no matter what I try it falls like a brick as soon as I let go of the button for the upwards thrusters. Everything is switched on, I've adjusted power management, added more thrusters it just really seems to love the floor.

Any ideas?

Thanks FunkyBacon.

Hi there BIV.
Glad you like my designs. All my blueprints are perfectly OK to modify and tinker with how you see fit as everyone has their own playstyle and needs. You can even upload your modifications if you want to. If anything I actually enjoy seeing what people do with them.

G'day mr Funkybacon, I have just been looking thru some of your designs and they look very cool. The rollcage for the miner really stood out as that is one big problem I'm still trying to overcome (damage while working that is), and the matching rover for worksite delivery is something I've tried , just the one and now I'm looking for areplacement for for items. Do you mind if I try out your designs and hopefully learn a bit from them? It will be only be in offline, learning settings and I'd like to complete a base or something before the lockdown is over. Please let me know what you desicde, cheers.

Glad it worked out! =)

I might try to do one some time, we'll see. Will have to be a space or moon based one tho as hydrogen is eaten up way too fast on normal planets, especially when carrying heavy loads of ore.

It's working perfectly this time! Any chance you would consider making a hydrogen thruster version? :)

Odd, building it the second time it worked perfectly. I have no idea what I had wrong the last time but its hovering perfectly this time. Thanks letting me know it worked for you cause that caused me to try again!

Hmm, only thing I can think of then is the batteries being set to "recharge" or the dampeners being turned off.
