Revia Race

Description
A race mod for bloodthirsty foxgirls in RimWorld.

Revia are near-humans with vulpine traits. Feared in the sector of the galaxy that they exist in for their warlike natures, it is said that Revia accept only one absolute law in their society: the strong live and prosper, and the weak serve the strong in whatever way they are able.
Their society worships bloodshed in the name of a certain deity that sits upon a throne of bleached skulls, and will stop at nothing to slake his thirst.

Features:
- A foxgirl race with guaranteed Bloodlust trait.
- A mechanic which allows them to grow extra tails as they offer more sacrifices to their blood god. They become stronger in melee, take less damage, and have more hitpoints as they gain more tails. Caps out at 9.
- A faction of their kind which acts hostile, and whose raiders will never retreat. Blood is blood, no matter whose side spills it!
- Some weapons that fit with their bloodthirsty nature. Their weapons have lower armor penetration than standard ones, however they inflict significantly greater bleed damage. Sanctified versions of these even offer its wielder the favour of the blood god, healing them whenever the weapon carves into bloody bodies.
- No racial clothes limitations! No hair limitations! These foxgirls are very much humanlike. Pick and choose your favourite cosmetic mods and roll with it!
- Regeneration of missing body parts when sacrificing live prisoners during eclipses
- Partial healing of permanent injuries with every live prisoner sacrificed during solar flares.

Suggested mods to go with this one:
- Some form of hat-hiding mod. Hats for humans clash badly with fox ears.
- A Rimworld of Magic

Credits:
- Erdelf, for his absolutely necessary Humanoid Alien Races mod.
- Marnador, for the fan-made RimWorld font used for the preview
- Lolidrop, for the awesome hair in the preview

FAQ:
Q: How do I get Bloodstones? How do I use Bloodstones?
A: Place a Sacrifice Spot (from Misc). Sacrifice a humanlike corpse. Right click Bloodstone(s). Sacrificing is an Intellectual, Revia-only task.

Q: How do I get Palestones? How do I use Palestones?
A: Place a Sacrifice Spot (from Misc). Sacrifice trophies or raw meat. Right click Palestone(s). Sacrificing is an Intellectual, Revia-only task.

Q: How do I craft/consecrate blood runes?
A: Craft inert versions at the Art Workbench, and then consecrate them at the Blood Sigil.

I must say, I haven't had this much fun on a playthrough for a long time.

I appreciate y'all making the mod, this is my favorite race to have in the game

if i had to guess all of this either relates to the fact that they decided to update unity from 2019 to 2022 (lotta depreciated stuff in that timeframe), the VTR stuff, or game setup being split into different functions.
i'll have to set up visual studio for rimworld modding which im not looking forward to.

oh yeah, blood sigils dont have any widgets either. (but it doesnt appear to be throwing an error?)

so yeah, no. not a quick and simple fix.

- the only red error for the above (below, technically) is "method not found: void" in reviarace.comps.soulreaper.postspawnsetup. should hopefully be as simple reassigning a function.
- trying to debug spawn a revia fucks things even worse. the bottom bar vanishes if a revian is on screen and you cant interact with anything + you cant close the debug console, the revian from above becomes invisible, the console is spammed with red errors even if paused, floating text popups dont go away, the background outside of the map is trippy as hell (afterimage like you get on leaky source maps, but with the additional effect of looking like continous layers of deep-frying are being applied)
- all the errors are object reference not set errors. not having the unity editor UI to try and see where exactly that is will be very annoying. i am hoping that fixing the method not found error will fix this.

"Might even be just as little as adding a 1.6 folder which is a copy of the 1.5 folder"
hah.
- all the custom needs broke (from each soul reap hediff and red haze), fixed that
- the NPC factions needed a new field, fixed that.
- scenario needed a new field. fixed that.
- there's some yellow errors on boot about assets needing to be loaded into the main thread that only pop up with revia active. will get to those after the red errors unless they can be traced to them. (i have no idea how i'd even begin to fix these)
- revia themselves are broken as all hell. i tried making a regular revia start colony (not a quicktest), while everything's fine in the character selector two of the three didnt spawn. the third did not end up end up in any lists (ex: not in the work tab, colonist preview bar, cant assign to any beds), and only has a facing forward sprite

I've always liked playing with Revia - and I try to use the Ideoligy - but raiding often destroys Settlements. Is there a Mod that spawns new Settlements in - over time? I never really raid to be honest because of the fear of having nothing in the vacinity to raid - and traveling would take forever.

With the 1.6 update with the Shuttle that could be fixed but honestly early or still scary. (And I don't want to overpopulate the Planet)

It might not be too much to change, as I don't think any new features in 1.6 intersect with either HAR or what Revia actually adds. Might even be just as little as adding a 1.6 folder which is a copy of the 1.5 folder, and bumping up the compatible versions.

Thank you. Most others would just shrug and say it's too hard, or that the modder should have eternal responsibility over keeping things up to date!

alright sure, i'll do that. might take a few days but i'll fix the mod for 1.6
