ZE Airplane Gyro

Description
Description
A fully tunable PID-based gyro for airplanes with separate control surfaces. Providing smooth tilt and yaw, orientation hold, horizontal stabilization, and has a simple engine control.
  • The axis for Pitch/Prop and Roll/Yaw are switchable between WASD and arrows, pitch axis is invertible. While stabilization is enabled, plane will be aligned horizontally.
  • Thrust control maintains the constant engine RPS. Can handle with both premade diesel and jet engines with the propellers or jet exhaust. It don't interfere with stabilization, so you may use other engine controller and ignore those nodes.

Setup order
  • Rotate roll ailerons that way their plus arrows should point in opposite directions.
  • Set propellers blade pitch to neutral.
  • Install this gyro and connect all logic nodes according their labels. Angular speed sensors should not be mirrored.
  • Set the correct control surfaces orientation in the microcontroller properties.
  • Connect pilot seat to the gyro with a composite link. Set all axis to the reset mode, adjust their sensitivity.
  • If you are using engine control, switch between propellers or jet type and set it's seat axis sensitivity to maximum.
  • Set seat axis trim to 0 and tune microcontroller pitch trim instead.

All done, but my airplane...
  • Tilts too slackly - increase the respective PILOT SEAT axis sensitivity.
  • Tilts too fast - reduce the respective axis turn speed.
  • Shaking with control surfaces - reduce the respective axis PID sensitivity.
  • Kicks back after yaw turn - reduce the PILOT SEAT yaw axis sensitivity or microcontroller yaw PID sensitivity.
  • Constantly pitches up or down - adjust the MICROCONTROLLER PITCH TRIM. Do not change the pilot seat axis trim because its nonzero values disables the automatic orientation hold.

Full-fledged flight controller with additional features.

which node do you set up the throttle to the jets?

can u make a verson that uses physics sensors

Ive noticed that when you roll hard, the pitch stabilization feature attempts to correct, ends up overcorrecting and ends up having to be interrupted to prevent a crash. Any ideas?

They no throttle for engine. Start up engine went hiccups not normal. Could outdated

i think theres something with my angular sensors, idk why but sometimes if i do a roll/hard bank the rudder freaks out and crahses me, when i taxi the plan and i face north coming from the right the rudder also freaks out and throws the plane. Idk whats up with it

Is there an option to reduce the control sensitivity with higher speed?

you should make a compact version using the physics sensor, i don't know how realistic it would be to do though, just a thought from someone who doesn't know how to to complex mc's

nvm, but when i turn on the stabilizer it just freaks out and starts spinning, and then it crashes

how to orientate the angular speed sensors

can we forget the engine controls lol
