Eitri Mk II Construction- & Salvage-Vessel

The Eitri Mk II Construction- & Salvage-Vessel is an adaptable small grid Tool-Carrier, designed for Space and non-atmospheric, low-gravity environments. It is battery-powered, backed up by multiple Reactors, uses Ion-Thrusters, and holds 4 medium cargo containers. The Eitri-series comes with two hardpoints and can serve as a designated Welder, Grinder or both.

This item is survival-ready! It is fully conveyed, thruster-damage compatible and uses no mods or subgrids.


Recently introduced on our Server, the Mk II replaces the original Eitri CSV as the main Construction-Ship. Since this item uses the DLC-exclusive Industrial Cockpit, I decided to publish a new version instead of updating the old one.

The Eitri Mk II comes a facelift and some optimizations to the script and screens, as well as an additional safety-sensor, that will detect nearby players and disengage the ships tools.

This medium sized construction vessel was created to ensure hassle-free welding on moon-surfaces while carrying a full cargo hold, so I simply slapped large thusters all over it. I tried to make this as compact as possible and even though I managed to keep it flat, this is quite a lot bigger than your average beginner-welder.

You can get into tight places with it, but watch out you won't toast your project with the thusters. To prevent this, I installed a Sensors which can turn off your large Thrusters if an object comes in range. Keep in mind though that the ship can drop to the Ground, if you use this feature under moon gravity with full inventory, so it's turned off by default.

Given the beyond average mobility, the Eitri can be a relaxing hauler as well, ensuring above average acceleration and deceleration plus lateral movement, while carrying a full cargohold. However, expect Power-spikes if you fly complex maneuvers with it.
