With 0 shells I had to watch the animation until some frames in the middle of the one handed pump, with 7 reloading to 8 just cancels it out even in the last frames and leaves in 6 shells left.
The hand reloading the shell has to put the shell in and leave the screen before the shell counter goes up. Unlike Arima's fix which the counter goes up as soon as the shell enters.

Damn shame, lovely shotgun cursed with a slower reload animation off sync with the actual game's speed, I think it actually makes it reload slower even in offiicial Valve servers
