Faster Ship Speed [3.12]

Description

This is an updated version of Shelanoir's wonderful Faster Ship Speed mod for 2.2. As he has abandoned it, I will be taking over from here on. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1586602804

2.0 drastically slowed down ship movements, both sublight and movements between systems, by forcing the use of slow hyperlanes. This mod increases the speed of all movements to make the game less of a slog.

- Sublight movement speed increased 3.33 fold

- Hyperlane windup has been slightly reduced

- Hyperlane travel speed has been increased

- Jump drive cooldown has been reduced

- Emergency FTL cooldown in combat has been reduced

- Maximum penalty for hyperlane windup far away from friendly territory cut from 5x to 2x

Should be compatible with all mods. It is also save game compatible.

Biznu, I have no idea. I am not playing at the moment. I might check on it in a few weeks.

Would this still work for 4.0.x? or will this need to be updated?

How much faster does this make ships? I only play on the slowest speed cause im new and wanna take it slow and 70 days to move to a neighboring system is waaaay too slow for me. So tldr is this 2x, 5x, 10x? I'm new so 3.33 fold makes 0 sense to me

I have finally gotten around to updating the version for 3.12. I do not expect there to be any problems, but if anyone finds some, please let me know.

@DFW Kerser, I just checked the code and it looks like it would still work. I am just too lazy to update the version. I will get around to it sometime. But for now, the mod should still work fine.

The mod is considered out of date, does that mean it doesnt work?
