Another remnant of old inscrutable industrial practices, Fractal complex continued the tradition of mystifying even the most elite of Eagle and Raven investigators upon its discovery. “Why on earth,” they mused, “would anyone build what appears to be a standalone communications network on an isolated marshy rock in the middle of a lake?”
“Could it be that this installation in fact does *not* serve as a potential military asset, and was conceived as peaceful means of technological advancement?” they wondered. “Could it be that this structure, so advanced despite its age, was permitted to exist only because of the peaceful, philanthropic age in which it was conceived?”
“And if that were the case, then would that not serve as a particular indictment on our own warlike practices, and perhaps serve as to illustrate the cultural neurosis under which we unquestioningly carry out our destructive practices…?” they asked, sobered by their collective realization… “Do we harm ourselves by passively perpetuating this petty little game of conquest…?”
“And if that were true” both sides continued, “… are we not all evil in our complacency…?”

Regretfully, the philosophy course was cut short by an errant seagull being mistaken for an ICBM, thus simultaneously re-invigorating the Eagles’ and Ravens’ thirst for paint, as well as offering a possible explanation as to why the topic of basic radio technology was indeed so baffling to either sides’ technology divisions.

********
Engage in direct confrontational infantry combat on the eleven elevated platforms! Many routes will favor the shotgun and SMG user, but don’t get too cocky. Some flags offer a massive long-range advantage over certain angles, while others may even favor back-door attacks! Every flag captures at twice the default rate too, so either dig in your heels on the bridges, or rush the enemy point head-on! Remember, if the enemy conquers this Complex, they will likely master the secrets of the “Reigh-Daar”, and god only knows what dastardly acts could be committed with such a technology!

This map honestly doesn't feel like its made on the level editor. I also noticed the details you placed below the platforms (the trees, bushes, etc.)

Also, I saw that you have a small cylinder pipe leading up to the upper-most point which can be taken by the player AND bots if they fall below. That's the kind of thinking forward of level design that I appreciate.

i disagree, this map is so well-made. i wouldn't say anything is "unnecessarily" detailed in ravenfield unless it noticeably impacts load times or detracts from the art style, none of which are the case for this map. i appreciate the clear amount of effort that went into this as well as the eye for design this modder has. even though this phrase is repeated so many times, i'd say this map is criminally underrated.

This map is unnecessarily detailed

Your CQC maps are so much fun to play. They make good use of vertical space so combat can occur both above and below you. My only suggestion would be to make sure that your items don't clip into each other, as that can kind of detract from the overall look of the level.

AeroRacer 22 Mar, 2020 @ 3:32pm
I'm sorry, what does "AT disabled" mean?
