Welcome to... [Scripted]

Description
Welcome to is officially available via Board Game Arena, I suggest checking out that version as it is easily better than what is possible in TTS.

Mod Notes
Based on Daiyamo's mod and upgraded with some scripting. Added in scripted setup, better quality boards, proper solo cards, automated calculating of scores on the bottom of the boards, boxes to input all numbers on houses, bottons for fences, buttons for marking used sections for scoring, buttons for pools, buttons for marking off all the scoring stuff on the bottom and probably more!

The mod was pushed by Fastattaq and some of the new assets were his scans.

Game Description

As an architect in Welcome To..., you want to build the best new town in the United States of the 1950s by adding resources to a pool, hiring employees, and more.

Welcome To... plays like a roll-and-write dice game in which you mark results on a score-sheet...but without dice. Instead you flip cards from three piles to make three different action sets with both a house number and a corresponding action from which everyone chooses one. You use the number to fill in a house on your street in numerical order. Then you take the action to increase the point value of estates you build or score points at the end for building parks and pools. Players also have the option of taking actions to alter or duplicate their house numbers. And everyone is racing to be the first to complete public goals. There's lots to do and many paths to becoming the best suburban architect in Welcome To...!

Because of the communal actions, game play is simultaneous and thus supports large groups of players. With many varying strategies and completely randomized action sets, no two games will feel the same!

This game is a lot of fun to play. I've never heard of it before. Seems like a older game. I hope they still sell it online so I can get a physical copy of it to play with friends and family when they come over. You did a great job on the game. Thanks

Thank you for the mod. I played it briefly to learn the game and check the solo cards. Bought the physical collector edition recently.

@Red Inferno Thanks for the great mod. I just published a version I made a while back that adds a 'Calculate Score' button. Let me know if you're cool with it, I have no idea about the etiquette of the mod scene.

@ryanhwell While I would liked to have redone a lot of how I made the mod and done all the boards(even have the scans for them) they threatened to DMCA the mod back in 2020 once covid was under control so I have no really had any motivation to do anything to it.

Thanks for another great TTS scripted game! I know you make a lot. are you willing to improve this one a bit? The text boxes tend to overlap the fence lines, making it difficult to click fences. Could you reduce the text field widths to fix this? Several of them are also off center if you could adjust that too.

I'm happy to fix that myself and add the Save Game function burnoutmax requested, but I don't want to take your work and upload a new version of essentially the same thing.

Great mod! Everything is scripted properly and very easy to play.
I don't know if it is possible, but it would be a nice addition to be able to continue playing the saved game. Once we had a connection problem with my friend and unfortunately, after we loaded the saved game, we couldn't continue, because it was showing "Start Game" instead of "Next Round" and the button wasn't working.
Anyways, this mod is even better than the original board game as I hate damaging the score sheets and here I can use as many as I would like.
Thanks!
