MRS Logistica Side Rod (9035-5)

Description
This is a remake of the 1st default Side Rod livery. I will not be doing the same for the default red livery because I don't really like the look of it.

The Hitachi Side-Rod is a locomotive on which very little information is available. What I do know is that they were built for the rack incline at Paranapiacaba in 1974. I can't find out exactly how many were built, but I think it was somewhere around 10 locomotives. The incline they run on is a 5 mile long section of the Sau Paulo Railway, which runs from Santos to Jundiaí. The incline section is between Paranapiacaba and Piassaguera.

The Hitachi engines operate on 5ft 3inch gauge track (which is relatively common in Brazil), but they were replaced in 2012 by new rack locomotives built by Stadler Rail. These new Stadler engines are said to be the most powerful rack-and-pinion locomotives ever built.
