For v3.3.2
This makes the vote for offering federation association status tied to the "invite" law.

@Peter34 Do you mean it breaks the invite to full membership? This mod is supposed to leave that unchanged. It could be a bug though.

Can you try to offer association, rather than responding to the other's ask?

This mod seems to not work. I'm higher vote weight than the other member of my Research Federation, and another polity asked for membership. I voted yes, but the other member voted no, and the Federation is set to use vote weight.

It's updated to 3.2.2 now.

@Peter34 I haven't updated or tested it recently. However I think it will work fine *except* for the Galactic Imperium related federations. I'll try to update & test this week.

Does this mod work with 3.2? Or is it no longer needed?

I just updated this mod for v2.8.1

Will this mod get an update to 2.8? Does it even need an update?

This bug keeps messing up my attempt to create a 3-member Federation, so I'll try out this mod, see if it helps.

I thought it was:P crazy this should be part of an offical patch

Unfortunately I don't know how other mods might affect this one; if they modify diplomatic actions then it is probably not compatible.

Adding the mod mid-game I think would be fine, but an existing federation probably has to change the invite law in order for the new modded law to take effect.
