What is this?

This is an update to the original Ground Control gamemode created by spy and others. It will play mostly the same as the original, with some new changes.

What's new?

• Helmets can now be equipped
  
• Player loadout weight now more directly affects movement speed/stamina drain
  
• Footsteps are slightly louder at heavy weight levels
  
• More maps supported, full list is in the discussion section
  
• More weapons supported, full list is in the discussion section
  
• Server console commands to change gamemode constants
  
• Assault gamemode removed and its maps brought into the rush gamemode
  
• Intel Retrieval gamemode
  
• VIP Escort gamemode

How can I add more stuff for my server?

Why create this?
When I started this the OG ground control gamemode hadn't had any updates in a while and I wanted to put some stuff in like helmets, custom weapons, etc. I remember following it on the Facepunch forums many years ago, but never did try it. When I decided to look for servers, I could only find one empty one. Luckily, the code was published on Gitlab for everyone to see so I started this fork.
