Description
Project RimFactory - Drones

This is a addon for Project RimFactoy it expands upon drone system in prf - core.

This Drone mod have a different approach than other drone mods, because it adds drone stations with multiple drone that can do more task than just one each station.

Drone station will send out a set ammount of drones to do task when needed, and they will go back to drone station and get "destroyed" and respawn when needed again, this makes them take up less performance when not in use.

Each Drone station can be set pretty high in drone count but please consider that each drone take up same performance as 1 pawn so 100 drones WILL properly lag your game.
So set ammount low if you having any problems.

We will try optimize drones as much as we can, but again this is a battle with RW pathfinding logic so its limited how much we can improve.

im able to run 100 drones same time in a new colony without too noticeable lag, but they may vary later game er other pc setups.

Content
This mods currently adds 3 original Dronestations from old mod.
- Wild plant collector (PlantCutting, Growing)
- Caretaker drone station (haul, basic, clean, firefight)
- Construction drone station (Construction, mining)

They have been resized to 2x2 from 3x3.
and only hold upto 20 from 50 drones.
These changes have been made to help Performance and base designing.
You can build more dronestaions if want 50 drones again, but may impact your performance with 50 PAWNS extra instead of 20, keep in mind each drone takes more or less same amount of performance as a vanilla pawn does...
So if your struggle with performance maybe lower your amount of drones from 300 to less ;-)


New since old PRF drone system:
- Assign zones
- Make limited range stations
- Range powerslider to set range for power
- New itab to control drones
- Show avg. skill level for relavant skills.
- Assign and stop individual jobs
- Work times for drones
- Auto unforbid mined ores
- Skill levels set in xml
- Drones Skill lv. can be upgraded via 3 researches.
- Or set manually in xml.
- Change Work zone shape facing rectangle, circle, square.
- Changed drone cultivator into a drone station type, for more universal system.
- Button for lockdown ALL drone stations
- Button for Reactivate all drone stations
- Better performance

...Might be more that i forgot ?


Future features still need to implement
- Performance optimizations
- Change drone texture for specific dronestations
- Set power per drone loaded or active

Just noticed something- drones are not immune to toxicity.
My construction drone was building inside tox gas and perished from toxic buildup
Is it intentional or overlook?

Where is the 20 maximum drones set in the files? I cant find it and Id like to change it back to 50 maximum drones, but cant find it in the documents.

This mod lets me almost entirely automate my base. What still doesn't get automated from PRF are the Resource Consoles from Rimefeller.

Is there a solution to that?

Sure we can do that. I’m assuming we should also remove the patch we have on Project RimFactory itself for your mod.

after a few days of drones, I have them stopping all over the map, throwing job logging excepetions for object refer3ence not set to an instance of an object. Any fixes? Ive been deleting them thru dev, but theres so many

Could you please remove the compatibility patch you have included for Complex Jobs 1.5. Its outdated and causing issues for people. Also the 1.5 version of my mod includes its own compatibility patch for Project RimFactory - Drones already so its not necessary anymore.

restarted the game and it worked fine... did not change anything... probably some other mod created a conflict that broke it for a while. But thanks for the help since I discovered that HugsLib logs are a thing! Will be very useful
