Description
XV-86 Mobius

Based on the Venture from Eve online, This Module Contains only Cargo, Thruster a Gyro and a large weapon mount. The mount is 4X4 and scales down to 1X1 at 1:4 scale. This has been optimized for down to 1:4 scale builds and has a complete integrity field.

This was designed to be used on the venture style arm but can be used on any other build. IT will need to be rotated 90 degrees on the X axis to be used on the Venture Arm. IT was done like this so that it could be used on any build, easily

How my modular system works:
I’ve recently taken a page from Black Disciple’s book and started using hull as the replaceable blocks rather than Framework.
To make things easier, Place the snap mode in block center mode, then press alt and move the mouse over the key or the central block inside of the lock of the module you're trying to place. Then simply cursor over the lock or key of the block you're trying to attach it to. All my ship sections are designed to be able to do this for ease of construction! I've realized that not everyone is super familiar with Avorion Building mechanics.
There are three part types, Bow, Section and Module. Each part will have at least one connection point, a lock or a key. The lock is a pit in the block that the key slides into. Each interface is 8 X 8 blocks across with a 2 X 2 lock and/or key.

A bow is just as it sounds, the front of the ship. It can also be a small ship in its own right. Most of the individual parts can’t function on their own. Some bows can.

A Section is the back bone of the ship. They are packed full of power production, power storage and gyros. They also have at least two connection points. A key connector in the front and a lock in the back but may have locks in the sides as well.

Finally we have Modules. Modules are the bread and butter of this design scheme. Most are purpose built, containing cargo blocks or hanger bays. Some have large weapon mounts or small ones that are good for point defense. They can have shield generators, torpedo launchers or teleporters. The possibilities are endless.

I build my ships sections in 1:1 scale but I’ll be publishing them at 1:2. It’s much easier to get enough materials for them at ½ scale. And scaling up is easy. Also I suggest using the game UI to create a folder. This new feature makes it easy to store all your modules in one place.

Size is a measure of how many locks/keys a section has or how many it uses.
Small = 1 lock/key
Medium 2 locks/Keys
Large 3-4 locks/keys
Extra-large 5-6 locks/keys Planning on making something this big!
Feel free to use my schema. I’d like to see what others can come up with!
