Guide To Taking On The Arena!
By Crilly
Well, this guide is designed to help you take on the arena, mostly addressing the enemies as a central horde, not speaking of them individually as much as other guides.

Gameplay Basics
well, in Clone Drone, you are a human in a robot body, and you need to kill robots that aren't human (well in singleplayer at least) and so many of them die at rates that rival Doom with the amount of casualties caused by a single player.

How To Use The Sword

In most situations you are going to be cutting at the sides of enemies, vertical strikes are not ideal for most situations unless you are dealing with archers, where less time spent swinging is fine due to them not being able to block or fight back as quickly, stay as far away as you can from enemies while still being able to kill them, the initial sword1s and various other trash enemies of chapter 1 should help you get a feel for that distance

-Upgrades For the sword
Adapt to what you are fighting, block arrow is incredibly useful against archers, so if you hear the commentators talking about how hard you are about to be destroyed by archers, buy block arrows, simple, if you are having trouble killing enemies buy fire sword, it doesn't counter anything in particular but it can be helpful for killing enemies with more mass to them like hammer bots

How To Use The Bow

There are a lot of useful applications of the bow, like killing archers from afar, getting rid of low level sword bots or other dangerous robots from a longer distance than the sword to remove the risk of death, and in more advanced applications exploiting enemy dodging AI to force them into hazards

However, the bow isn't applicable to a lot of situations, like when facing sword bots above the red tier (purple, flaming, and black with teal highlights are the deflecty bois) or purple or flaming bow bots who have their swords out, or if enemies are simply too far away and their inhuman reaction time and perception simply render arrows useless, learning when the bow is applicable is one of the greatest skills of using it

-Upgrades For the bow
The Bow's 2 most important upgrades are energy and arrow width, you only need one level of arrow width for it to be serviceable but more is better if you have enough energy, Energy allows you to fire more arrows making it very important, Time slow is pretty useless, but fire arrow can be helpful for securing kills or ensuring that any hit on an enemy means death
Enemy Behavior
Enemies in this game are the bread and butter of a level, it's design has a lot of influence on the enemies the animation system changes this but the developers never used it to it's full potential in standard endless mode.

In this game, enemies tend to form hordes, these hordes follow you relentlessly, they will never split up and cleverly flank you while you deal with the main distraction of the massive cloud of robotic suffering chasing you, and if they do that is most likely a level design quirk that causes them to have a delayed activation, then again after long enough they will integrate into the ball, The key to dealing with the enemies is to kill anything threatening first, your priorities should go:

Immediate Threats-->Archers-->Infantry Bot-->Spooders-->Literally Everything else

Your priorities for the end of your priorities vary, hammer bots can be used for easy friendly fire on higher tier robots, but at the same time they are really threatening if you can't hit them with a bow

Little Quirks You Can Exploit

Advanced enemies that can't block will dodge in the opposite direction after an arrow enters a certain distance, this can be used to force enemies into hazards that will instantly kill them, because dodging the arrow takes priority over not getting sawed or s H o N k E d.

If it wasn't obvious from the first level with archers, enemies are really competitive, and will murder one another for the 0.0005% chance their strike will land, this is most apparent with MK1 sword and spear bots, higher tier archers, bosses, and hammer bots of any kind, and in a less extreme example the spear bots that can shield bash often knock each other over

Enemies have 0 Brain cells, this has literal and figurative meaning because their AI is really bad at dealing with hazards, the robots that come after you constant dashes or using jetpack bursts are really easy to lead into hazards, as jetpack bots have trouble turning and have almost no awareness of hazards, pits with hazards can lead basically any enemy into them, because they only want to stay away from direct instances of hazards, so find a pit and laugh at them as they stupidly fall in.
Managing The Horde
As I have said in the section on enemy behaviors, the robots of similar speed and AI group up, so I will tell you how to kill each of the various speed classes of robots that are attacking you

Rushdown

These enemies are in your face constantly, The hammer is usually the solution to their existence, as you can pound them as they charge directly at you at high speeds as you easily side step and erase them with one mouse click, The bow works on a majority of the robots in this class too, because they are mostly either fast runners, or jetpack bots, most of which don't have dodging behaviors, with the exception of things like the bow5 and sword5, who are either A acrobatic masters who are impossible to hit and pose too much of a risk to shoot at or B, they just block arrows.

Frontliner

Includes some of the slower jetpack bots who can be dealt with via Anti-Rushdown tactics, but also features MK3 and MK4 sword bots, who block arrows, they aren't that hard to deal with, just cut them in half with a sword strike, that applies to most of them, as they don't have immense area denial like the hammer bots (with the obvious exception of the hammer5, who can be shot from a distance but doesn't dash or run fast enough to be a rushdown bot) or super high speed that will be annoying to deal with, just kite them around and pick them off, or run them through hazards, normal clone drone things

Middle Ranks

These bots are usually the slow but not bow2 slow, robots, and it includes low level robots and the more beefy robots like the hammer3 and the buff spear bots, these bots cannot be charged into (With the exception of the spear1 and sword1) you will be ripped apart by their area denial and combat prowess, unless you have the correct upgrades and tactics to beat them individually: Buff spear bois: hammer or aim over their shield, Hammer bois: shoot them from a distance, Combat Archers: arrow block and destroy them at close distance whenever it is safe, Logistics Bot: have a hammer or spear, otherwise start praying or use multiplayer technique on it

Backline

This includes the slowest of the slow, not stationary but really slow, or their AI makes them hang out away from the main battle, you can charge a lot of these robots head on, with the exception of The fleet commanders, who are the fleetcaptain and fleetoverseer, otherwise they are ranged with very few defenses, but watch out for the flames on infantry bot and mindspace bot, the tailwhip on the laser raptor can also be quite dangerous, so bait it out of them by walking close to them then start walking away as soon as you see them starting their tailwhip animation, then they will most likely start another laser, this is your time to kill it

Stationary

These Bots stand completely still, there isn't much to say about them, they can be a pain in large numbers some more than others but they have zero defenses and are 100% ranged, spooders can severely mess you up if you allow them to continue to exist
Conclusion
Well, I hope this helped you, I have noticed streamers tend to struggle a lot, and that is with the resource that is their viewers, I can only imagine how much normal community members are struggling, I hope this helps.
