Andromeda Carrier

Description
Andromeda Carrier
A Level 20, Class 6, Tier 4, Capital Vessel

This is a rework of jrandall's - Hecate Carrier
A Link to his ship, is at the Bottom of this page

First off, I am a big fan of jrandall's work.
I even think this was one of my first CV’s in the game.
That being said. I have always been a tinkerer with things.

The ability to carry a Fleet of ship's & Hover Crafts, was a big sell for me.
But I had long since parked this vessel and "moved" on to other CV's.
I tinkered with it on and off for the past year. I was never happy with the results.
Then with all the changes to the game by adding Weight & Volume + CPU Usage.
I knew I had to do something to breathe life into this Vessel.
In its Original Rendition, it simply will not fly, let alone haul anything.

So, I pulled this into the Shop and went to work on it.
First thing to go, was every downward thrust engine.
They all have been replaced by larger engines providing more lift.

This ship now has --> 250 Kilo tons of lift capabilities! <--
Yea you are reading that correctly :-)

Added a few more fuel tanks. Added Shields. Removed a lot of cargo boxes.
Replaced most of them with Container Controllers with Container Extension's
I removed the Crew Quarters and replaced it with a Conference Room with 6 Passenger Seats.
As this is mostly intended for Multiplayer use, the Crew Quarters is not really used.
Added 4 Flak Cannons, 4 Rocket Turrets & an Artillery Turret. Who does not need extra protection?
And placed a couple Wireless connections.

With all the modifications I have done to this ship.
I wanted to keep it as close to its original look as possible.
The Front downward engines needed to have a complete rebuild and reconfigure of the area.
I am pleased with my work; however, time will tell if other people like what I have done.

Filikwarq Glad you like it. Interesting you are having issues with the inverted settings I have never had an issue with using them.

Nice to see you still working on it. Interesting that the inverted sensor works for the Teleporter. When I tested it a week or two ago, it did not and I had to add a inverter-logic for it. Will give this one a try.

I'm also a massive fan of Jeff's work. This was my first CV and even after it wasn't flyable I'd spawn it in as a base instead because of the nostalgia value. Really nice work on the update
