Description
MALTA (JEAN VALETTE)

UA: GREAT SIEGE OF MALTA
  • Construct Defensive Buildings and Combat Units 10% faster during war, and +2% faster for each enemy Unit within two tiles of a city. Combat victories in own borders transfers HP and XP from adjacent enemy Units to your own.
UU: GALIOT (GALLEASS)
  • The Galiot is the unique Galleass replacement for Malta. Although this unit is more susceptible to attack than the Galleass, it exceeds at outmaneuvering enemy Naval Units, beginning with +1 Movement if it begins its turn within two tiles of one. This bonus is doubled if the enemy Naval Unit is adjacent to the Galiot. In addition, the Galiot earns Gold whenever it defeats an enemy, equal to the value of their Combat Strength. This makes the Galiot especially effective at raiding enemy fleets in order to support your military's finances.
UU: KNIGHTS HOSPITALLER (LANDSKNECHT)
  • The unique Knights Hospitaller is a Melee unit only available to Malta, and only through the Mercenary Army social policy. Unlike the Landsknecht that it replaces, the Knights Hospitaller can be trained with production. Although it does not receive the standard bonuses of the Landsknecht, the Knights Hospitaller is especially deadly when fighting Mounted and Siege Units. This Unit also begins with bonus XP based on the number of enemy Units within three tiles of the city in which they are trained; the value increasing the closer the enemy unit is to the city. The Knights Hospitaller make for an effective defensive force when your cities are put under siege.

Crashes when attacking.

With Malta as AI, I ran into the city-state Kullah (city name on map) that in all other places is still referred to as Valletta. Is it possible to remove the Valletta reference for the city-state, when using the Malta mod?

thanks for quick turnaround, can confirm all issues are fixed now... just one very minor thing that the Bonus vs Siege (50) promotion doesn't show the brief description of the effect like other promotions do, when hovering over the promotion icon

I believe the grand master should be looked older because he was almost 70 in 1565.

Thanks for the new civ! Took it for a spin and found a few things:
- The Galiot also gets movement bonuses for friendly units.
- The Knights Hospitaller can be bought with faith in one of your cities with a religion (am not using another mod that would otherwise allow faith-purchasing units like JFDLC used to do) whilst not having unlocked social policy Mercenary Army. When unlocking Mercenary Army, then it does become available as intended for production.
- Some city names do not start with a capital letter and have a space before, so looks a bit weird and inconsistent (e.g. abbar, ebbu, etjun).
- In the description of the UA I found combat victories somewhat confusing. “Killing an enemy unit” may be more clear.

May I ask why most modders no longer support E&D?
