The Guardian Battle Cruiser [10 slot]

Description
A enlarged version of and based on the " HON Manifest Class Frigate [6 slot] " by Haurbus this design was focused on improving its total slots and turret emplacement while staying true to the initial shape of the Manifest. Build form the ground up using only Iron and Titanium allowing even beginning players to use it while more advanced players can replace internals and hull with more advanced materials. The design philosify was focused on keeping a reasonably high turning rate for its size while not diminishing its combat abilities.

[Upgrade advice]

The rolling Gyro's can be upgraded to shield generators for a 112K shield while you retain your tracking/combat aim ability with up down left and right. Any further new block aditions will have to replace existing trusters, which will in turn impact the manauvrability, given its high start manauvrability you have some leeway over other ships this size, and makign the hull into trinium will reduce the weight so it gets back some of it as well.

You will not find empty space inside ( no framework blocks ) as all the space is used for trusters to provide a off the shelf maximized yaw/pitch/roll. there are various sizes of trusters so play around replacing some if you wish to add another type of block and check the impact on the manauvrability while doing so.

[Combat flow]

The Guardian is a big ship that can go fast, 30K engagement ranges are easly closed with a burst of afterburners. It has a high forward turret focus ( all turrets can shoot forward ) but still a decent sideways broadside if you so desire. Take note that the ingame turret rotation is too slow to keep up with the ships quick rotations. so you will find you end up with pointing your nose at things and blasting them to smithereens.

I prefer to use bolters or antimatter based chianguns for the extra quick dispatch of hull (especially in the titanium regions when NPC ships and Pirates dont have shlieds this is highly effective). In later regions the ammount of gun emplacement will quickly drain any shield. Due to the high Generated Energy you can fit any type of weapon you prefer though as there is enough juice to also provide energy to lightning turrets and lasers.

The front houses 4 torpedo bays for those splashing money at stationairy targets and it sports 8 total small mounts for frontal mining/scavenger lasers (providing maximum range from the front of the ship)

[Estaticcs]

The current look is emphasizing the curved bow but many other paint skinss can be apllied. For the turrets I find it best to use a flatter design as it keeps the ships hull line intact. Keep in mind that coloring the glow blocks requires some trial and error as their luminocity alters the color alot. so click around in similar colors ( darker and lighter) to see which other ones actually gives the color you where looking for.

[ Thats it ]
Thats all the information i have at the moment. Feel free to post any inquiry or question you might have in the comments. Feedback on the design and ways to improve are also always welcome.

Let me finish by stating Thank you for checking out "the Guardian" !
With regards,

Nogard

My Energy Generation with the newly build ship (and without any modules altering it) is 205.88 GW, not the 334.63 GW from your screenshot. (I'm not sure what is different.) I've added a generator upgrade and all was fine.

@xikade what is in your vision a stable energy consumption?

Great design with an eye for details. The colors work well and the turrets are a nice touch. Movement is excellent. Only small critique that I have is that I did need a generator upgrade to get energy consumption stable.

I've just started a new galaxy on the beta branch and was frustrated getting a good titanium ship going so this really helped me.

Added 3 images of a diffrent paint scheme, based on the Star Wars Darth Maul facial colors of black and red and an overall more menacing evil look of the Dark Side or Sith Lord. It was a request from a friend I play with to make one. Please note that the cannons shown on the Dark side version are the " MK-2 Terran Pulse Canon " by Arakiss, I found their flat but still mechanicly heavy feeling perfect to fit the Guardian design.

Uploaded more images showing all sides, the trusters and gyro replacement for shields impact.
