Joe Exotic rose to national fame during March 2020 as the focus of the Netflix documentary Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness.

While Joe is most known for his zoo (in which he kept hundreds of tigers, lions, and bears, among other animals), his failed gubernatorial and presidential campaigns, and his feud with Big Cat Rescue, he is no stranger to the wrestling world.

Joe promoted multiple NWA events held at and around the GW Zoo for several years, welcoming fans to events and often providing color commentary. His YouTube channel contains multiple full NWA Texoma shows that feature well known wrestlers such as Tim Storm, Raymond Rowe (WWE's Erik), and Charlie Haas.
