DISCLAIMER: This is not my map. The original was made by Zastels and can be found here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?l=dutch&id=763583012
I simply made his map playable and added bot support.
All rights belong the original creator.

Q: Why are there no bots?
A: Use doi_bot_quota 16 in the console if no bots spawn in once the map loads.

Q: Why can't I select units?
A: I don't know, but you should still be able to choose a class as the default faction skin. The update fixed the textures, but broke the units. If you can't get past the army selection screen, restart the map.

Oh, then it's a issue with those, instead of the game or your PC.

Wait. Do you always see models shiny, or just in that map?

Are your models not showing up as shiny as mine in the mod pictures, or are they just as shiny? mat_fastspecular also turns some textures, such as player hands, purple for me.

mat_specular doesn't get rid of the silver lighting for me, unfortunately. I'll the try the others too. I don't know why the error success messagsa are there; parts of the map are broken, with some places just being completely transparent. Not much I could do about that besides remaking the whole map in hammer.

mat_specular is a console variable. I use that one and a bunch more in 0: mat_fastnobump 0;mat_forcebumpmap 0;mat_fastspecular 0;mat_specular 0 to give lighting a better look.

Don't know if you have issues with the map or the game, but you could try setting all those variables to 0, and it may improve lighting a bit.

I believe that the map's lightmaps are broken. i can't edit those, so the shiny models are permanent for now.

I have no idea why the models are so shiny. I'm brand new to modding with source. Is mat_specular a console command, or something within the map configuration files? I can't edit the model textures via the map configuration files. I believe the shiny textures are a lighting issue, or something to do with the map itself. Unfortunately I can't directly edit the map because I don't have the vmf file; only the original creator has it. Also, what error messages are you referencing?

and... are you using mat_specular 1? Why do some models look so shiny?
