Tribal Class

The Tribal class was a class of destroyers built for the Royal navy and used by the RN, RCN and RAN. It was a development of earlier British destroyer projects and placed greater emphasis on use of guns rather than torpedoes. Here it is armed with eight 4 Inch Mk XVI in dual mounts and with a singular 40mm Bofors gun. The ships were used to great effect by commonwealth navies and were some of the newest and most powerful destroyers available during the war.
