Description
A Better Start for Long War of The Chosen (LITE)
Lightly Buffed starting resource levels, research speed, building speed, and much more to begin your new campaign in LWOTC.

Wait did I hear that right? "Decades" I expect Central to be a bit more sheepish in telling me how long I have been away. Sure the base is new but how did we seem to lose all of our scientists and engineers? How is it there are no supplies outside of a few MRE's? And who the hell lost the mystic knowledge that allowed the Skyranger to carry more than 4 grunts into battle?!

This mod is a tongue-in-cheek EZ-button for starting off as the recently awakened Commander. A cubic crap-ton of supplies, intel, and alloys along with tweaks to that reduce research and build times assuming the XCOM staff got actually BETTER at their work instead of worse.

*This mod works at all gamelevel difficulties.

Under The Hood
Through the update of the core config files I have added large shipment of resources along with some calibration on scalars. The starting values have been curved to the difficulty setting giving you the most at rookie level and impossible level. The LITE version has reduced the bumps significantly so that the base management is still an essential part of the game.
  • Starting supplies are 50 to 1200.
  • Starting intel, elerium, alloys are 50 to 1000.
  • Starting power is 0 to 20
  • Starting comm capacity 0 to 12
  • Building and clearing scalars have been reduced to 0.3 to 1.2
  • Research scalars are reduced to 0.8 to 1.1
  • Facility building costs reduced.
  • Facility power consumption adjusted
  • Black Market costs reduced and sell ammounts for special interest items increased.

DIY Modding
If there are aspects of this mod that you hate or things you wished were just a bit more buffed, then open the file(s) below in a text editor and scan through settings. My mods are nothing more than configuration file overrides with no coding. A word of caution about editing the downloaded files in your workshop directory. If I ever update this mod your changes will get replaced with a fresh copy of my files. I recommend copying the modified file to another folder that you can swap back in after an update.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2048890671\Config\ XComGameCore.ini XComGameData.ini XComLW_Overhaul.ini
*This is assuming your running windows and steamapps are on your c:\ drive.

Long War of The Chosen [LWOTC]
If you have been frustrated by not being able to find the actual LWOTC mod on Steam you are not alone. LWOTC devs are still building it and have not yet released it on Steam. If you want to try out my mods with the new BETA LWOTC you can follow these links to download and install the latest BETA release.

Long War of The Chosen install instructions: Installing LWOTC [github.com]

The install instructions provide an easy link to download the BETA v2 release which is out of date. You can get the latest release notes and download here: Releases[github.com]
*Thanks Online Addict

Note: If you use AML for loading your mods testing has shown that my mods and likely others will not load after the locally installed LWOTC. If you do not want to wait for the production Steam release of LWOTC you will need to copy my mods to the same local directory you installed LWOTC in (per instructions). Then in AML select the local versions of the mods and not the workshop versions.

it seems ironic, if you are playing lwotc its because you want it to be extremely difficult

In the text above ammounts should be amounts.

Put this mod in local folder in order everything to work

Mod still works, go to the full version and read my comment on how to make it work.

It does not work with LWOTC

It does not work with LWOTC (no extra intel, resources, etc., just faster research time)

Redownloaded after I got the LWOTC workshop update, but it still won't show the changed resources or research times. Oddly, it does show the change I made to starting Ability Points, weird.

I love that you kept up with all the conversion mods

Looks like you need to download this as a local mod and then name the folder to be after LWOTC, otherwise it won't load in the proper order
