Dynamic Recon Ops - Everon

Description
THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL RELEASE

This edit is based on the latest DRO missions by mbrdmn (4 Oct, 2019) and it includes the new Combined Arms game mode.

See below for a list of the fixes and changes applied to this mission.

Dynamic Recon Ops is a randomised, replayable scenario that generates an enemy occupied AO with a selection of tasks to complete within. Select your AO location, the factions you want to use and any supports available or leave them all randomised and see what mission you are sent on.

Designed to be simple to use but with plenty of options to customise your mission setup, the objective behind DRO is to create a way to quickly get playing a new scenario in singleplayer or co-op. With as few changes to the base game as possible, DRO aims to showcase the unique and varied gameplay that Arma 3 has to offer for smaller scale infantry combat.

Additionally, DRO has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of faction mods. If you have any mods that create new factions they will be selectable as player or enemy sides within the mission. However, the scenario itself requires no mods apart from specific terrains if you want to use them.

Features

  • Playable in SP or COOP
  • Dynamic scripting means that no two missions are the same
  • Menu on startup to select a variety of options including time of day and insertion type
  • Revive system that takes visual cues from BIS revive but is fully AI compatible and works in both MP and SP
  • Virtual Arsenal to select starting loadout for both player and AI units
  • 'Reset AI' diary entry to unstick AI units
  • 30mins - 1hr 30mins duration

Changes / Fixes

  • CHANGE: Player squad initial loadout changed to Recon or Special Forces if they are available. It's only applied to recon and custom mission types.
  • FIX: Increased spawn distance of boats to avoid both boats spawning in the same position.
  • CHANGE: Excluded vanilla vehicles not destined to transport troops from the player's randomly assigned vehicle pool.
  • CHANGE: Automatically add vanilla factions if the DLC factions are selected in order to allow them to use all the vanilla vehicles.
  • FIX: Now airdropped supply boxes have the inventory and actions added once it hits the ground. Otherwise the "Force rearm" action for AI wasn't correctly applied.
  • CHANGE: BIS Dynamic Simulation replaced by ZBE Caching when the SIMULATE AI option is enabled (and renamed it to AI CACHING).
  • FIX: Fixed syntax error in last task in "Combined arms" mode (take and hold area) that prevented the end of mission to happen after a given time (createExtractTask.sqf).
  • FIX: Fixed CAS support menu being removed when accessing it without actually using it (description.ext).
  • FIX: Reset AIs (from command menu) can now heal, work with explosives, repair, etc once they reset.
  • FIX: Fixed possibility of placing player's artillery and FOBs outside the terrain boundaries.
  • FIX: Fixed possibility of starting helicopter insertion outside the terrain boundaries.
  • FIX: Temptative fix to profile options not always loading properly (particulary with time settings set to Dawn).
  • FIX: Fixed "Enemy force multiplier" text not showing the correct multiplier when the menu dialog is first loaded.
