DURUM - Utility And ROV handling Ship (NOT MP RECOMMENDED)

Description
The Durum is a 24 meter long, 16 meter wide utility catamaran ship built to handle any kinds of heavy tasks on the ocean. It has a large and powerful crane and a ROV (Remotely Operator underwater Vehicle) to work on depths at as much as 500 meters. It is connected to the ship with a power cable, so battery life isn’t a concern. The ship is loaded with lots of equipment and has a good top speed of 25 knots and a range of over 300km. It uses a realistic steering system with two large azimuth thrusters which are operated individually to give the ship an unlimited repertoire of movements.

Start-up:

Go to the bridge.

Turn on the “POWER UP CONTROLS” key on the front left side panel

Sit down in the driver seat.

Turn the “ENGINES ON” key on the left side of the seat.

Normal Steering mode:
WASD controls the port side thruster, and the arrow keys controls the starboard side thruster.
The thruster can move 360 degrees, so to reverse you have to turn the thrusters around so they point forwards.
Steering is sticky. But you can reset the steering to backwards position by pressing [1]
You’ll be able to do a lot of maneuvers with this steering mode. For example moving sideways by putting on thruster pointing forwards, and the other thruster 45 degrees out to the rear side.

Synced Steering mode:
This steering mode will make the ship steering like a normal prop and rudder ship.
Both thrusters are controlled by WASD keys.
Steering is auto reset when you let go of the controls.

Useful info

The driver seat can be moved to rear view facing position to look at the main deck or two see more clearly when reversing the ship.

The crane can either be controlled from the operator seat at the rear of the bridge or from the controls at the port side of the deck.

The ship also has flybridge controls at the starboard side of the deck. Remember to use the “TRANSFER CONTROLS” buttons.

On the left side front control panel on the bridge is the nav lights system on the screen, and also control for the different deck lights, and controls for the sink tanks. The ship can use the sink tanks to lower itself so that the deck goes under water in order to help bringing stuff like large cargo or boats onto the deck.

The search light and gimbal camera is controlled from the officer station on the front right side of the bridge.

On the front right side of the bridge is also the power controls where you can switch to the reserve battery if needed. The generators will charge whatever battery is in use at the moment.

On the left side rear console on the bridge next to the ROV operator station is a control panel that controls fuel distribution, bilge pumps, and generators.

The generators start automatically when the main battery goes below 90%, but can be started manually, or disabled completely.

The bilge pumps starts automatically when water is detected inside the ship, but can be started manually, or disabled completely.

There is one fuel access point on each side of the deck going to each of the two fuel tanks.

Between the crane and the main door on the deck is two hose winches with pumps boing between each other so you can connect each of the to whatever you want to move fluid from one place to another.

Using the ROV

Start by disconnecting the ROV docking connectors and enabling the top connector on the ROV with the two buttons on the lower right side on the ROV operator station.

Then go to the crane and use it to lift the ROV into the water.

Go back to the ROV operator station and turn the “POWER UP ROV STATION” key on the left panel.

Use the controls described at the seat, and the buttons on the panels to control the arms.

The map will show you the speed, direction and distance of the ROV.

The camera screen displays current depth, the target depth and the total depth on its location. Use [1]
and [2] to increase or decrease the target depth of the ROV.

The ROV cable will adjust itself judging by how far away and how deep the ROV is until a max length of 500 meters

Hey, I dont think this creation is working quite right anymore. I spawn it in and when I start the engines, the props turn 360 degrees with no limits, and the right engine wont run. I love this creation and I wanted to use it for the underwater update. Please fix it!
